Launched in 2023, Vegas Gems is revamping the gaming industry as a crypto-sweepstakes casino. My highlight of Vegas Gems was the table games with a selection that outdoes most competitors. I was also a fan of the creative promotions, with treasure chests, boosts on purchases, referral bonuses, Rakeback, scratch cards, and more.
My Vegas Gems review will cover everything that you need about this sweepstakes casino, including promotions, games, purchases, redemptions, user experience, customer support, and how to claim the “Welcome Chest” to get a Vegas Gems bonus.

Vegas Gems Promotions and Bonuses
Vegas Gems has a variety of promotions so that players can get their hands on Shards and Gems. Shards are the equivalent of Gold Coins, while Gems function like Sweeps Coins. While I was impressed by the variety of promotions available, I think there’s potential to refine and develop them in some areas.
How I Claimed Vegas Gem’s No Deposit Bonus
The Vegas Gems no deposit casino bonus is unique because you have to open a “Welcome Chest” to win a random amount of Gems. I appreciate it when a sweepstakes casino steps away from the norm, and this certainly piqued my interest. Strangely, I didn’t get any pop-up or notification about this promotion; I just stumbled upon it while exploring the site.
However, my excitement was somewhat tempered when I landed on only 1 Gem. While it’s possible to get up to 1,000 Gems, it was underwhelming to just receive 1 Gem as a welcome bonus. Another disappointment was the lack of any Shards in the welcome offer.
- I first signed up by selecting the “Sign Up” button in the pop-up that comes up, clicking “Sign In,” and providing my details.
- After I created an account, I started exploring the platform and noticed a “Welcome Chest” under promotions.
- I opened my “Welcome Chest” and watched as the gems spun until they landed on my prize.
- My balance was immediately credited with 1 Gem.
Vegas Gems Bonus Code
No Vegas Gems bonus code is required for any of the mentioned promotions unless you have a referral code.
How Does The Sign Up Bonus Compare To Other Sweeps Casinos?
The Vegas Gems sign up offer is different from other sweepstakes casinos. Usually, you’re given a set no deposit bonus available in your account after creating an account. However, you open a treasure chest at Vegas Gems for your welcome bonus.
When I opened my “Welcome Chest,” I landed on 1 Gem, about the same as 1 Sweeps Coin. Typically, sweepstakes casinos don’t tend to give out many SC in their welcome bonus. So, it is pretty standard to receive 1 to 3 SC. For example, you get 1 SC at Sweeptastic and 2.5 SC at McLuck.
Most of the time, however, you will get a large amount of Gold Coins. I didn’t receive any Shards, which work like GC, in my “Welcome Chest.” This was a real disappointment, as you usually get hundreds of thousands from competitors. For example, at Stake.us, you’ll receive 250,0000 GC, while Funrize provides 125,000 GC.
Other Vegas Gems Promotions In April 2025
Take a look at the available promotions at Vegas Gems in April 2025:
Daily Chest
Players can open a treasure chest daily to claim free Shards and Gems. I appreciated this twist on a daily bonus, as it is more fun than just a click-to-claim reward. It was also great to have a guaranteed bonus of Shards and Gems every day.
On my first day, I received 8,417 Shards and 0.25 Gems. The next day, I got 9,705 Shards and 0.25 Gems. Since you don’t get guaranteed Shards from the welcome bonus, this is your best bet for keeping your Shards balance stocked.
There are different daily chests that can be unlocked based on your level. You can level up by earning XP through playing games and wagering Gems. The higher your level, the better the rewards from the boxes.
This was my favorite promotion for a few reasons. For one, it was straightforward and easy to claim my rewards. More importantly, it sustained my gaming. If I ever found myself running low on Shards or Gems, I’d just need to wait until the next day. I also liked how the treasure chests tied into the overall theme of Vegas Gems.
Gems Boost
Vegas Gems has a boost on your first purchase. I was given a 50% Gem Boost up to 20 Gems. All I needed to do was activate the bonus under my profile. So, when I chose to purchase the 100,000 Shard package for $9.99, the usual reward would have been 11 free Gems. However, with 50% Gem Boost, I received 16.5 Gems. Later in the week, I could activate another Gems Boost. So, Vegas Gems regularly offers this promotion, where you can receive more Gems with minimal effort on your part.
Bejeweled Chests
Bejeweled Chests is kind of like a loyalty program at Vegas Gems. While I appreciate offering a unique twist on a rewards scheme, I found that this one lacked structure and was a bit confusing to understand. The idea has potential; it just seems underdeveloped. It also felt repetitive to have two promotions based on opening treasure chests.
As you continue to level up, you’ll unlock Bejeweled Chests. There are 13 altogether, which can be claimed from Level 1 to 120. These Bejewelled Chests are only given to you for completing certain tasks.
For example, I had to purchase 20,000 Shards to unlock the first chest. Once I’d done this, I unlocked the “Bejeweled State,” which lasted one hour. I received a Bejeweled Chest for Shards and Gems, double XP, and a diamond badge next to my username.
Referral Bonus
Inviting your friend to join Vegas Gems will earn you a bonus. I love a bonus that doesn’t require any effort on my part; I just needed to share my referral code. It’s a pretty different type of referral promo compared to other sweepstakes casinos. While profiting off a friend’s losses might seem off-putting, winning and losing are part of the game either way.
All you need to do is go to the “Affiliates” page, where you can create a referral code. Next, you’ll have to share this code with your friends. You’ll receive a percentage of their losses based on your tier:
- Tier 1: Up to 1%
- Tier 2: Up to 2%
- Tier 3: Up to 3%
- Tier 4: Up to 4%
- Tier 5: Up to 5%
- Tier 6: Up to 6%
- Tier 7: Up to 7%
- Tier 8: Up to 8%
- Tier 9: Up to 9%
- Tier 10: Up to 10%
For every 100 referrals, you’ll move up a tier and receive a higher percentage of their losses back.
Rakeback
Players can get a percentage back of their wagers by claiming Rakeback. This can be claimed daily, weekly, and monthly. When you go to the “Promotions” section, you’ll find three countdowns for each of these offers. When the bonus is available, you simply click to claim and enjoy it. It’s a little uninventive, but I won’t complain about a free bonus that doesn’t require any difficult conditions.
Gems Rain
Gems Rain is a unique promotion at Vegas Gems that rewards active players every hour. A percentage of the wagers placed by users is pooled together and then redistributed to users. You’ll be included in this prize pool if you’ve placed a wager in the past seven days, made a purchase of at least $10 in the past seven days, and your account has been KYC approved – but you need to be active when it drops.
Scratch & Win
There’s also a scratch card promotion for the chance to win Shards. You can draw a scratch card using 100,000 Shards, which I thought was very steep. Just like a normal scratch card, you scratch to reveal prizes. I didn’t manage to test this promotion out myself as I thought it was a waste of my Shards, which I preferred to use exploring the gaming library.
My Experience Opening an Account at Vegas Gems
Signing up for Vegas Gems took me around ten minutes as I decided to complete the full KYC process.
Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Load the website.Firstly, go to the Vegas Gems websites on your desktop or mobile browser. I signed up on my laptop. Then, click the white “Sign In” button in the top right corner.
- Confirm email. On the grey pop-up, you can select “Sign Up.” Next, I entered my email address and pressed “Send Code.” As soon as I loaded my inbox, an email arrived with a six-digit code. I returned to the Vegas Gems website and entered the code in the box before clicking “Confirm Email.”
- Fill out the form. Following this, I had to create a password for my account that was at least eight letters long and a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. Then, I had to enter my full name, check my email address, and provide my date of birth.
- Agree to the terms. Next, you’ll need to tick a box agreeing to the terms and conditions. It can be tempting to skip over reading them, but it’s important to review them and be aware of any conditions.
- Add personal information After this, I had to add my country, state, full address, postal code, and phone number. Then, I had to choose a username for my account.
- Verify your identity. After I joined the site, a pop-up told me to verify my account. I thought it was best to get this out of the way, making redemptions easier in the future. Firstly, I had to select my country, which should be the US for all players. I then had to verify my email again by entering the code sent to me. The next step was filling out my first name, last name, date of birth, and full address. Then, I had to upload a picture of my driver’s license, ID card, or passport. Finally, I had to take a selfie to confirm my identity.
I always prefer to get verification out of the way ASAP after I sign up, and I appreciated Vegas Gems sending a pop-up to remind me.
What I Liked And Disliked About Vegas Gems
My standout features for Vegas Gems were the promotions, games, and redemption experience.
The huge collection of slots and table games also provides an enjoyable and varied gaming experience, and I loved how fast the redemptions were with cryptocurrencies.
However, there were a few drawbacks. The website needs refinement; a few mistakes, glitches, and navigational hiccups detracted from my overall experience. I also didn’t like how there were fees for redemptions. Additionally, the platform can’t be used by non-crypto players.

My Thoughts on the Game Selection at Vegas Gems

Vegas Gems has a decent library of games, including slots and table games. I was pretty happy with the library; it is a well-rounded collection that provides a varied gaming experience.
Often, it can get boring when a sweepstakes casino only offers slots, so I’m glad this is changing. The only thing missing from the library is live dealer games or other specialty titles, but I was more than impressed with their selection of table games – in fact, it is one of the best I’ve seen.
You can find titles supplied by nine leading software providers: 3 Oaks Gaming, Belatra, Booming Games, BSG, Evoplay, Habanero, Netgaming, Popiplay, and RubyPlay.
Slots
Slots comprise most of the gaming library, with over 1,060 titles available. Compared to other sweepstakes casinos, this is quite an extensive collection. For comparison, RealPrize has over 350 slots, while Fortune Wheelz has over 850 titles.
I spun my way through several slots, appreciating the number of themes available. Whether you prefer candylands, ancient civilizations, wild animals, or spooky slots, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. In particular, I noticed that there were many classic-looking slots from 3 Oaks Gaming with fruits, diamonds, or numbers.

Screenshot
I didn’t have much success with my slot gaming. The biggest win I had was 200 Shards on Brilliant Gems. I burned through my daily bonus quite quickly each day, and the only reason I could test a range of games was because I’d made a couple of purchases. I think it’d be difficult for players who haven’t made a purchase to fully enjoy the library with just the regular promotions, which is a major disappointment in my books.
Another issue I have is that it is difficult to explore the slots. While there are filters, many of them simply don’t work. There’s no way to sort by theme, type, or slot. I would end up endlessly scrolling, just trying to find something that caught my eye. It felt overwhelming, considering the number of slots, which detracted from my overall experience.
Table Games
Vegas Gems has a huge collection of over 80 table games. This was my highlight of the gaming library, as I haven’t come across a sweepstakes casino that has such a big selection of standard table games. It is uncommon to find any table games, let alone more than 80 titles.
You can find variants of classic games like blackjack, poker, roulette, and baccarat. There’s also even a Rummy and Sic Bo title. Most of the titles are poker with different versions and multi-hand styles. For example, there is 1 Hand, 5 Hand, 10 Hand, 50 Hand, and 100 Hand for Joker Poker.
I appreciated the change from slot gaming, especially as I was frustrated after my losses. It was good to slowly build up my balance with a few rounds of roulette, blackjack, and baccarat. A few of my favorites were Blackjack Lucky Stud, American Roulette, and European Blackjack.
There is one live dealer game at Vegas Gems: Dragon Tiger Live. It was a bit random to provide only one title, which is hidden in the table games section. However, I think this is just an error, as Habanero doesn’t offer any live games. When I clicked on it, it wouldn’t load properly either. So, I wouldn’t consider Vegas Gems to have any live dealer titles.
Vegas Gems Payment and Redemption Experience
All of the games can be enjoyed for free at Vegas Gems, as there are promotions with free Shards and Gems. After signing up, I could open the Welcome Chest and Daily Chest for a random number of Shards and Gems.
While spending money isn’t required to enjoy the games, there is the option to purchase additional Shards to boost your balance. These purchases come with a bonus of Gems. Unlike Shards, Gems can be redeemed for actual prizes.
Vegas Gems is a crypto-sweepstakes casino, so payments and redemptions are only available using cryptocurrencies. While I like using crypto for its speed, privacy, and security, it can be more complicated to use than fiat methods.
Vegas Gems Payment Details | |
Payment methods | Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, USDT |
Minimum purchase | $4.99 |
Minimum prize redemption | 100 Gems |
Prize redemption time | Few hours |
Payments
Shards can be purchased with Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, and USDT. It covers popular cryptocurrencies, but considering the number of cryptocurrencies out there, I’d like to see more options. For example, Stake.us supports 22 cryptocurrencies for purchases and redemptions.
One drawback is that only cryptocurrencies are accepted, so if you’re unfamiliar with how it works, this would be a hurdle. You’d need to learn how to use them or miss out on Vegas Gems altogether. This is where sites like Ding Ding Ding have the edge, as both crypto and fiat currencies are available.
Ten packages of Shards are available from $4.99 for 50,000 Shards to $999.99 for 1,000,000 Shards, accommodating whatever budget.
Here are the available bundles:
- $4.99: 50,000 Shards with 5 free Gems
- $9.99: 100,000 Shards with 11 free Gems
- $19.99: 1750,000 Shards with 21 free Gems
- $49.99: 200,000 Shards with 55 free Gems
- $70: 225,000 Shards with 72 free Gems
- $99.99: 250,000 Shards with 103 free Gems
- $199.99: 500,000 Shards with 204 free Gems
- $299.99: 450,000 Shards with 304 free Gems
- $499.99: 700,000 Shards with 510 free Gems
- $999.99: 1,000,000 Shards with 1,020 free Gems
For my first purchase, I went for the $9.99 package for 100,000 Shards, which also completed my task for the “Bejeweled Chests.” I opted for Litecoin from the available cryptocurrencies. As I’ve used crypto in the past and my wallet is already set up, this process was simple. My Shards were immediately credited to my account, along with a boosted bonus of free Gems.
Here’s how to make a purchase:
- Verify account.
- Go to “Deposit.”
- Choose a package.
- Select a cryptocurrency.
- Copy the address in your wallet.
- Send the payment.
Crypto payments, however, might not be as easy for everyone, especially if you’re using them for the first time. Unlike dealing with fiat currencies, setting up a wallet and buying cryptocurrencies is more complex than simply entering your card or bank details. It requires research and understanding as you’re using a whole new type of online payment method.
There are good reasons to consider crypto. Cryptocurrencies come with a level of privacy that you don’t get from traditional payment methods. You can keep your financial information to yourself, and your transactions won’t appear on your bank statements. Also, using blockchain technology means that your payments are secure. They’re encrypted and spread out across networks, reducing the chance of hacking.
Redemptions
Gems can be redeemed for cash prizes through Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and USDT. You must collect a minimum of 100 Gems to be eligible for redemption.
I was pleased to find that the playthrough condition was only 1x. So, any Gems that have been won through gameplay can be redeemed for prizes. Other crypto-sweepstakes casinos, like Stake.us, have a 3x playthrough condition, making it more challenging to build up redeemable winnings.
The downside is that there are fees for redemptions. The exact amount of the fee can vary depending on the cryptocurrency. For example, for my first redemption with Litecoin, there was a $0.01 processing fee. However, later, when I redeemed with Ethereum, it jumped to $0.11. So, I’d take that into account when deciding which crypto to redeem with.
The fees and the amount you’d receive in that currency are listed under the “Redeem” section.
Here’s how to make a redemption:
- Go to “Redeem.”
- Enter the amount you want to redeem.
- Input your name and wallet address.
- Confirm the request.
- Wait for processing.
My favorite thing about using cryptocurrencies is the speed of transactions. When I requested a redemption with Litecoin, it was processed in just under two hours. For my Ethereum redemption, it was transferred to my wallet in an hour.

Overall User Experience – Is Vegas Gems Fun to Play At?
Vegas Gems misses the mark in this area, as the website is somewhat underdeveloped and confusing to explore. This left me feeling frustrated, detracting from my overall experience, so there’s a real need for improvement. It is only accessible through its website on a desktop or phone; there is no app.
Desktop
Vegas Gems has a sleek, dark-themed design that I quite liked. As the name suggests, its theme centers on gems; for example, a couple of the promotions are based on treasure chests. However, I do think this concept could be developed further.
I spent a lot of time simply trying to figure out what was happening. A lot is going on on the site, but there are no explanations or information. For example, how Shards and Gems work is not clearly explained anywhere, and there are also no proper details on the promotions.
The website isn’t intuitive or well-organized. On the right side, there is a hideaway menu with the main features of the platform. However, there are key sections that are missing. For instance, the pages for purchases and redemptions aren’t clearly shown. You can see your Shards and Gems balance at the top of the screen and toggle between the different modes.
The games lobby is organized into the following main categories:
- Lobby
- Slots
- Table Games
- Top Picks
- Your Favorites
- New Releases
Since it is a large collection, I do think there could be further sub-categories, particularly in the “Slots” section. There are filters where you can sort by software provider, volatility, and popularity. However, using them was hit-and-miss; sometimes, it would come with an error with “No Games Found.” So, I can’t really give them praise as it didn’t even work. You can use the search bar if you have a certain title in mind.
A couple of times, I noticed that the game icons wouldn’t load. This might be a minor issue, but it just contributed to the overall feeling that the site is unpolished.
There are a few cool features that I enjoyed. On the right side, there’s a small eye icon that’s easy to overlook. This shows your user stats like total earnings, games played, and wins. Another feature I found under my profile was “Transactions,” which gives you a full history of all your losses and claims of Shards and Gems.
Mobile
Vegas Gems can be accessed through a mobile browser on your phone number. It doesn’t have a dedicated app, which isn’t surprising as sweepstakes casinos typically don’t offer them.
The only difference in the interface between the website on my phone and my laptop was a bar along the button for quick access to the main features. This made it easier as I could just click to access pages like redemptions, which were missing on the desktop version.
However, the highlight of the mobile site was its convenience. I could log in, play games, purchase Shards, and claim prizes at any time. All I needed to do was pull out my phone and log into Vegas Gems, wherever I was. It was far less effort than loading up my laptop every time.
A dedicated app could further improve the experience, but Vegas Gems needs to iron out a few areas before focusing on developing one.
Is The Customer Support Any Good?
Customer support can be contacted through live chat and email. I had high hopes for Vegas Gems after I realized they have a live chat for all players, but my experience using it was a letdown.
Starting off, I looked at the Help Centre or FAQ section to see how useful it is. At Vegas Gems, their FAQ page is listed under “About Us.” There is hardly any information on this page, with just a few generic questions. I also noticed a broader lack of guidance across the platform.
Since there isn’t much information available on the site, I had no choice but to get in touch with customer support. To begin with, I realized it wasn’t a proper live chat when I received an automated message that my question would be responded to in 24 hours.
I was pleasantly surprised when someone replied to me in just a minute. They seemed polite and friendly, but after talking to them for a while, I just ended up more confused. At one point, while I was asking about the referral bonus, they sent me a link to a completely different sweepstakes casino.
I did eventually piece together all of the information that I needed, but it wasn’t easy. While I praise having an around-the-clock live chat that isn’t restricted by purchases or a VIP level, it’s another example of how Vegas Gems doesn’t quite hit the mark.
Following this, I sent an email to [email protected] to test this support channel. They replied to me in a couple of hours. Compared to the live chat, it was a more comprehensive and structured answer. So, despite a longer wait time, I felt the information provided was better and less confusing.
Vegas Gems has the following support options:
- 24/7 Live Chat
- Email ([email protected])
I do think Vegas Gems could benefit from a phone number. I’d preferred just speaking directly to someone so that they could clearly explain certain things to me, like the promotions. If you need a quick reply to a practical question, I’d recommend using the live chat. However, if you want general information or an explanation, I’d suggest sending an email to the Vegas Gems team.
Is Vegas Gems Trustworthy?
Vegas Gems is a reliable sweepstakes casino. It is legally available in 47 states. While it doesn’t require a traditional gambling license to operate, it does follow sweepstakes laws and regulations to be legal in most US states.
All of its games are provided by reputable software providers who use RNGs (Random Number Generators) to ensure fair and unbiased results. Using cryptocurrencies for payments is also safe, secure, and private.
Personal information is protected and encrypted by SSL technology. Additionally, players are required to complete their KYC (Know Your Customer) process before redemptions to verify their identity, age, and location.
Who Owns Vegas Gems?
Vegas is owned by JSP Media Holdings Limited, a company based in Dublin, Ireland. I’d never heard of this company before, and I couldn’t find any proper information about it. It doesn’t publicly operate any other sweepstakes casinos.
What Do The Reviews Say?
Vegas Gems has an impressive rating of 4.3 stars on Trustpilot from 243 reviews. A huge 86% of reviewers have given it a full 5 stars. Many of these reviews highlight customer support as a strong point, going above and beyond to resolve any issues. My interaction with the support wasn’t the best, but perhaps the difference was because I was asking for detailed information rather than solving an issue.
12% of reviews are 1-star ratings. A lot of the negative feedback is from being locked out of accounts. Vegas Gems isn’t active on TrustPilot, so there are no responses to these reviews. I found the gap between 5-star and 1-star reviews to be strange, as only 2% of users rated it 2-star to 4-star.
Are There Any Responsible Gaming Resources?
Vegas Gems does have a responsible gaming page, which is a good start to creating a safe experience for players. It is linked under “About Us.” However, the page is essentially a big lump of text, which doesn’t make it very digestible. In fact, there are errors where sections are simply repeated for some reason.
You can find tips on managing your gameplay and staying in control. There is also information on self-exclusion and account closure. Players can also take a self-assessment questionnaire, and there are details for external organizations.
I know that responsible gaming can be overlooked at sweepstakes casinos, as it doesn’t have the same level of risk as traditional gambling. However, purchases can still be made, and prizes can still be won. I’m just glad that Vegas Gems at least provides these resources for players, but they could do with giving the page a makeover.
What’s The Difference Between Vegas Gems and a Real Money Casino?
Vegas Gems is a sweepstakes casino where players use virtual currency to play games rather than real money. Because of this model, these platforms avoid the legal requirements faced by real-money casinos. As they’re not classified as gambling, they’re available in states where online casinos aren’t allowed.
Instead of putting down real money, you play with Gold Coins (Shards) and Sweeps Coins (Gems). Real money casinos allow you to gamble with actual dollars and cash out directly if you win. However, at Vegas Gems, you don’t cash out winnings directly. Instead, you can redeem Sweeps Coins (Gems) for cash prizes.
There is a free-to-play model at sweepstakes casinos like Vegas Gems, so you’ll find plenty of promotions with virtual currency. These sites are all about gaming, offering casino-style fun without the pressure of using real money.

Would I Recommend Vegas Gems?
Vegas Gems is a bit of a mixed bag. I can see how they’re trying to create a sweepstakes casino that stands out from the crowd, but certain areas are just undeveloped. With refinement, it could be a great platform, as it has the potential.
Let’s start with what I liked. I was impressed by the number of promotions available. There are treasure chests, boosts on purchases, referral bonuses, Rakeback, scratch cards, and more.
My highlight was the table games; they are one of the best selections that I’ve come across, and they have over 80 titles. You can find blackjack, poker, roulette, baccarat, Rummy, and Sic Bo to name a few. I love a varied gaming experience at a sweepstakes casino that goes beyond just slots.
Another thing I have to point out is the speed of redemptions. This is the best part about cryptocurrencies. My redemptions were sent to my wallet in 1 or 2 hours, which is far faster than fiat methods.
That said, I generally found Vegas Gems to be a bit all over the place. Understanding how the platform and promotions work was unclear. The interface looks nice but is hard to navigate, while the game lobby has malfunctioning filters. It simply needs a bit of a tidy-up. After messaging customer support, they seemed just as confused as me, which isn’t ideal.
As I said before, Vegas Gems has potential, and I hope they can fix those issues. Right now, the platform has the promising elements to be a leading sweepstakes casino, like cryptocurrencies, interesting promotions, and a diverse gaming library, but the overall execution just falls short.
