Spree Casino

Spree is a new sweepstakes casino that launched in 2024. It offers a modern, beginner-friendly, and simple experience with a strong focus on slot gaming. My highlights for Stake.us were the collection of slots and variety of promotions.

My Spree review will cover everything that you need to know about promotions, games, purchases, redemptions, user experience, customer support, and how to get the Spree no-deposit bonus of 1,000,000 GC and 2.5 SC.

Spree Promotions and Bonuses

Spree is locked and loaded with various promotions to explore and receive free GC and SC. There was always a Spree bonus for me to claim, whether tournaments, social media giveaways, or the login bonus. The only reason that it doesn’t get full marks is because there is no VIP or loyalty program.

How I Claimed Spree’s No Deposit Bonus

After creating an account, you can get a no deposit sweeps casino welcome bonus of 1,000,000 Gold Coins and 2 Spree Coins. I was impressed by the Spree no deposit bonus, as the GC amount is one of the highest available in the sweepstakes industry.

Here’s how I got it:

  1. I first created an account by clicking the yellow “Sign Up” button and providing my details.
  2. Next, I verified my account by clicking the link sent by email.
  3. As soon as I entered the site, my bonus of 1,000,000 GC and 2.5 SC was ready in my account for use. Claiming the bonus required no effort; I just had to create an account.

Spree Bonus Code

No Spree bonus code is needed for any of the promotions that I’ve mentioned.

How Does the Sign Up Bonus Compare to Other Sweeps Casinos?

The Spree sign up offer is one of the more generous that I’ve come across in sweepstakes gaming. After joining the site, I never really felt like I was running out of Gold Coins, which is exactly what you’d want from a welcome bonus.

Spree provides you with a huge 1,000,000 GC and 2.5 SC just for creating an account and verifying your email. Looking at competitors, RealPrize gives out 100,000 GC and 2 SC, while Funrize provides 125,000 TC (GC) and 300 PE (3 SC).

Sweepstakes casinos don’t tend to offer much in the way of SC, typically around 1 to 3 SC. So, the amount of SC in Spree’s case is fairly standard. Some sites do go over this number, like Zula Casino, which gives out 10 SC.

In terms of Gold Coins, Spree is knocking it out of the park with 1,000,000 GC in the welcome bonus.  The standard amount is around 100,000 to 300,000 GC. Finding a competitor who beats that in their sign-up bonus is hard.

Other Spree Promotions in April 2025

Take a look at the available promotions recently at Spree:

First Purchase Offer

New players can get a discount on their first purchase. You can get 30,000 GC for $9.99 with 30 free SC. Usually, this package would be $29.99. I claimed this deal myself after signing up. It was a nice boost, particularly for my SC, although I felt I had more than enough GC already because of the welcome bonus.

I’d say this is a great option if you plan to play with SC, but less so if you’re a GC player.

Daily Bonus

Every day, you can get a bonus of 2,000 GC and 0.4 SC. This bonus consistently kept my gaming sessions going whenever I ran low on coins, which, granted, took a while for the GC. I appreciated how straightforward and reliable it is; there’s no need to jump through any hoops. You can claim this bonus by clicking the “Claim Daily Bonus” button in the left-hand menu. It’ll be immediately added to your stash.

Tournaments

Spree has two tournaments that are held throughout the week. I love a bit of competition, so it was fun to go up against other players. On Tuesday, Spree holds a tournament where you have the chance to win SC by playing certain slots.  Players have to place a minimum of 0.1 SC on the tournament games to qualify.

Your position on the leaderboard is determined by points based on the highest win multiplier. For example, if you spin 2 SC and win 50 SC, the multiplier is 25x (50/2), so you’ll get 25 points. Only your highest multiplier score will count. There is a prize pool of 2,000 SC split between the top 200 players.

During the weekend, there is a “Power Play” tournament. The same rules apply as previously, except the prize pool of 5,000 SC is split between 450 players.

I jumped into both these tournaments during the week I spent on Spree. I didn’t make it into the prize positions, but I definitely had a lot of fun trying.

Spinvasion

Spree has an ongoing promotion where you can get free spins just for playing gaming. Players have to make a minimum spin of 0.10 SC on qualifying slots. With every spin, there is a random chance that you can win the free spins. All of these spins are worth 0.20 SC.

For February, this promotion was available once a week during the month. I tried it out during the week I tested Spree, but I didn’t manage to get any free spins, although it was a good way to try out a few games that I wouldn’t typically choose.

Refer-A-Friend

Inviting a friend to join Spree will earn you a reward. You’ll receive 10 SC for each referral. You can participate by sharing your unique link on the “Refer A Friend to Spree” page under “Events.” Here, you can monitor the number of people you’ve referred and the SC you’ve earned from these referrals.

For the referral bonus to be activated, both you and your friend’s account must be verified, and your friend must make a minimum purchase of $15. The best part is there’s no limit on how many friends you can invite, so that’s unrestricted potential rewards. Spree even suggests sharing the link on social media so you can benefit from random people joining the site.

Social Media Giveaways

On Spree’s social media, players can participate in giveaways for the chance to win free GC and SC. I didn’t manage to win any of the ones that I’ve participated in. These giveaways revolve around answering a question in the comments or completing a task to enter.

For example, I entered one by following Spree and simply commenting on the post. They were giving away 1,000 SC to the players. So, they’re definitely worth it. Another post I saw was a “Spot the Difference” game. Spree’s giveaways are active on their Instagram, X, and Facebook.

Mail-In Requests

Similar to other sweepstakes casinos, Spree allows you to get SC by sending a handwritten request to their official address. This request should include your full name, return address, email address, a statement of request, the Spree website URL, and a unique request code. You can find your request code on the “Sweepstakes Rules” page of their website, where you can find exact information on how to write your card. After your request is processed and approved, you will be credited with 4 SC.

Spin Rush Tournament – Win a Share of 5,000 SC

Spree players can take part in the Spin Rush Tournament, running from March 3, 2025, at 12 AM PT to March 6, 2025, at 11:59 PM PT. With a prize pool of 5,000 SC, this competition rewards players who land the highest win multipliers across a selection of 24 qualifying games.

How It Works:

  • Play any of the 24 eligible slots, including Epic Joker, Money Cart, Temple Tumble 2, and The Great Pigsby.
  • Place a minimum spin of 0.1 SC to qualify.
  • Leaderboard rankings are determined by the highest single win multiplier achieved.
  • The top 500 players win SC prizes, with 1st place taking home 300 SC.

Prize Breakdown

🏆 1st place: 300 SC
🥈 2nd place: 250 SC
🥉 3rd place: 200 SC
🎖️ 4th-5th place: 100-150 SC
🎁 6th-500th place: 2-50 SC

Prizes will be credited within 72 hours after the tournament ends. Players can improve their rank throughout the event, and in case of a tie, the first to reach the score takes the higher position.

My Experience Opening an Account at Spree

Signing up to Spree only took me a few minutes, as I just had to fill out my personal information and verify my email.

Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  • Load the website. Firstly, go to the Spree website on your phone and laptop. When I signed up, I was using my laptop as I prefer the bigger screen for gaming. However, if you prefer the convenience of using your phone, the process is exactly the same.
  • Choose a registration method. Next, click the yellow “Sign Up” button at the top-right corner. You can choose to sign up through email or a preexisting Apple account. I chose to sign up through email because I like to keep my accounts separate.
  • Fill out the form. If you create an account, you’ll need to provide your email and create a password. Then, you simply have to agree to the terms and that you’re over 18. It’s important to go over the terms and conditions to know exactly what you’re signing up for, even if it can be annoying to read.
  • Confirm email. Following this, I was sent an email with a link that activated my account. I clicked this and was taken back to the site. I was then able to use my welcome bonus to check out the collection of games.

What I Liked and Disliked About Spree

The highlights of my Spree review were the number of slots from various software providers and the ongoing promotions. I liked how varied the slot collection is, and it was great to have so many promotions to participate in and receive free GC and SC.

There were a few things that I found needed improvement. There’s no way to directly speak to the agent, as there isn’t a live chat or phone number. The purchase and redemption process isn’t the best, either.

Spree has a huge collection of over 1,570 games, including tons of slots and a handful of live dealer games.

If you’re a fan of slots, it is one of the best libraries available on the market. However, it isn’t the most diverse collection that I’ve seen; it could benefit from table games, specialty titles, and more live dealer options.

Games are supplied by a whopping 31 software providers, including big names supplying plenty of classics I’d played before on other sites, like Pragmatic Play and Novomatic. At the same time, there is also a good selection of less-established providers, like Koala and Spinomenal, which gave me the chance to to play brand new games.

Slots

Slots take center stage at Spree with over 1,560 titles. This collection is on par with leading competitors like High 5 Casino, which also has over 1,500 slots. The most popular slots on the site include 3 Coin Volcanoes, Sugar Rush 1000, Majestic Wild Buffalo, and Coin Up Hot Fire.

All types of slots are available, whether different mechanics or themes. Some main themes include Buffalo Blast, Irish Luck, Eastern Riches, Wild Wild West, and Retro Reels. You can also explore 57 Megaways titles, 100 Hold & Wins, and 16 games linked to Jackpot Play. For Jackpot Play, these titles are connected to a Grand, Mega, Major, and Minor jackpot system that offers huge GC prizes.

Spree Casino Slot Game

On top of this, Spree has a selection of 31 exclusive games specifically made for the site. My favorite was Spree Gold; it felt like there were hardly any spins where I didn’t win something. Whenever I ran low on coins near the end of the week, I’d go back to this game to build up my stash again.

The variety of slots is impressive, thanks to a selection powered by 31 software providers. There is a great balance between leading developers and newer names. I could play familiar favorites from Pragmatic Play, Novomatic, and Relax Gaming, as well as explore fresh titles from Jelly, Redrake Gaming, and Revolver Gaming.

Multiplayer Slots: Sit & Spin

Spree has introduced Sit & Spin, a multiplayer slot game developed by Hungry Bears. This game pits three players against each other in free play battles lasting around two minutes. Players earn points by spinning the reels, with additional mechanics that allow them to unlock weapons and target opponents.

How It Works

  • Each game session includes three randomly matched players.
  • Players spin to earn points, with a war chest on reel 3 unlocking weapons.
  • Available weapons at launch include Freeze, Slash, Steal, and Shield.
  • Winners earn SC, GC, and purchase packages.

Spree is the first social casino in the US to offer this game, adding a competitive element to the typical slot experience.

Slingo

If you want something slightly different from slots, Spree has a selection of 15 Slingo titles. These games are essentially a mix of slots and Bingo. You’ll get a Bingo card with numbers, and underneath is a slot reel. You spin this reel to match the numbers on your card. While I didn’t have much luck with my Slingo sessions, they also didn’t make a big dent in my coin stash. This allowed me to play for a while without worrying too much about using up my GC.

Live Dealers

Spree has a selection of five live dealer games, including baccarat, roulette, and blackjack. These titles are supplied by Iconic 21. Although it is quite small, I appreciated that they at least have a few options, as many sweepstakes casinos don’t offer any live dealer games.

Here are the available titles:

  • Grand Bonus Baccarat
  • Gravity Roulette
  • Gravity Blackjack
  • Auto Roulette
  • Live Baccarat

The only thing missing from the classics on this list is video poker, and some modern game shows would be a good addition too. However, I still had an enjoyable time with the titles available. It provides a completely different experience to slots.

I did find that there was a slight lag while playing these games, but it wasn’t anything that drastically impacted my gaming. It’s worth noting that there is a mistake in this lobby, as when you click on the Live Roulette title, it is actually Live Baccarat.

Spree’s Payment and Redemption Experience

All of the games can be played for free at Spree, as you’re given GC and SC for no cost through promotions. After registering, I received a bonus of 1,000,000 GC and 2.5 SC, which was more than enough for my gaming.

While it’s completely up to you whether you spend money, it is possible to purchase Gold Coins if you want to increase your stash. Most purchases will come with a complimentary bonus of Spree Coins.

I wasn’t overly impressed with the payment and redemption process at Spree. Only a few methods are accepted, and it doesn’t include modern options like e-wallets or cryptocurrencies.

Payments

Gold Coins can be purchased using Visa, Mastercard, or Apple Pay. Sweepstakes casinos don’t usually have many payment methods, but this is still on the lower side. Spree could improve by adding further types of payment options, such as e-wallets, bank transfers, or cryptocurrencies.

At Real Prize, for instance, you can use Visa and Mastercard, but Skrill and bank transfers are also available. Another example is Ding Ding Ding, where banking cards, bank transfers, and cryptocurrencies are accepted.

Packages of Gold Coins range from $4.99 for 5,000 GC going up to $499.99 for 500,000 GC. I found the starting price to be relatively high compared to many sweepstakes casinos that offer packages for less than a few dollars.

Here’s the list of GC packages:

  • $4.99: 5,000 GC
  • $9.99: 10,000 GC + 10 free SC
  • $19.99: 20,000 GC + 20 free SC
  • $24.99: 25,000 GC + 25 free SC
  • $29.99: 30,000 GC + 30 free SC
  • $39.99: 40,000 GC + 40 free SC
  • $49.99: 50,000 GC + 51 free SC
  • $74.99: 75,000 GC + 75 free SC
  • $99.99: 100,000 GC + 101 free SC
  • $149.99: 150,000 GC + 150 free SC
  • $199.99: 200,000 GC + 200 free SC
  • $299.99: 300,000 GC + 303 free SC
  • $399.99: 400,000 GC + 400 free SC
  • $499.99: 500,000 GC + 500 free SC

For my first purchase, I chose the first-purchase offer that I mentioned earlier. I used my Visa debit card, which was simple. All I had to do was enter my card number and CVV, just like any online transaction. After I’d confirmed my payment, my GC and free bonus of SC were credited to my balance. You can also use Mastercard.

Here’s how to make a purchase:

  1. Go to “Shop.”
  2. Select a GC package.
  3. Add card information or choose Apple Pay.
  4. Confirm the transaction in your banking app (if needed).

While I was using my iPhone, I could use Apple Pay. It was quick and easy, requiring only a double-click and authentication with Face ID. There’s no need to enter banking information. However, it is exclusively for iPhone users.

Redemptions

Spree Coins won through gameplay can be redeemed for cash prizes or gift cards. 1 Spree Coin has the same value as $1. A minimum of 10 SC is required for gift cards, while it is 100 SC for a cash prize. I was happy to see that the minimum was so low for gift cards, making them accessible to all players.

Cash prizes are processed through bank transfer exclusively. While this is common for sweepstakes casinos, I’d like to see other options, like debit cards, e-wallets, or cryptocurrencies. The issue with bank transfers is that they tend to have a longer processing time than other methods.

For my first redemption, I went for the gift card, as it didn’t take me too long to collect 10 SC. This was sent to my email within an hour. Later during the week, I managed to play through 100 SC so that I could receive a cash prize. I provided my bank details, and it was processed to my account in three days.

Here’s how to make a redemption:

  1. Verify your account.
  2. Click “Redeem.”
  3. Choose a redemption method.
  4. Enter the amount.
  5. Wait for processing.

Before you can make a redemption, you’re required to verify your account by submitting a picture of your ID and taking a selfie. You’ll also have to submit proof of address. I completed this just after creating an account, so the Spree team had enough time to process and approve it before any redemptions.

Overall User Experience – Is Spree Fun to Play At?

Spree offers a clean, neat, and modern platform that is perfect for beginners. The focus is on gaming, which I appreciate, but I wouldn’t recommend it to more experienced players who might want a feature-rich site. You can access Spree only through its website, as it doesn’t have a mobile app.

Desktop

Spree keeps things simple and sleek. Although the design is pretty plain, which usually means it’s easy to use, I personally do miss the excitement that a more fun theme brings to the table.

Spree Casino Homepage

It’s easy to find your around, making it a solid pick if you’re after a hassle-free sweepstakes casino. There’s a menu on the left-hand side with all of the main features. Here, you can also view your GC and SC balance. At the bottom of the site, there is the technical stuff like the terms, privacy policy, and responsible gaming.

The games lobby is full of categories so that you can easily find games. Titles are sorted into the following sections:

  • For You
  • Top Ten
  • Brand New
  • Exclusive Games
  • Buy Coins
  • Popular Slots
  • Just Added
  • Jackpot Play
  • Buffalo Blast
  • Slingo Games
  • Irish Luck Picks
  • Game Studios
  • Instant Bonus
  • Hold & Win
  • Eastern Riches
  • Megaways
  • Wild Wild West
  • Immortal Ways
  • Retro Reels
  • All Slots
  • Unlimited Play

I appreciated how many categories there are, particularly the thematic ones. It was useful to be able to sort by software provider under the “Game Studios” category. However, I do think a couple were unnecessary. For example, there is both “Brand New” and “Just Added,” which is redundant.

All of the slots that I played loaded quickly and were free from any issues. However, I did experience lagging with the live dealer games. I liked how you click on the small icon on each game for quick information, including a description, minimum spin, maximum spin, and volatility.

You can also select the heart icon to save games in the “For You” category for quick access. If you have a specific title in mind, you can use the search bar at the top of the lobby.

Mobile

Spree can be accessed on your phone through a mobile browser, as it doesn’t have its own app. While it is disappointing there isn’t an app, I wasn’t surprised as sweepstakes casinos don’t tend to offer them.

That said, you can still access the website on your phone, providing a smooth and convenient experience. The only difference between the desktop and mobile sites is that the menu has moved from the left side to the bottom of the screen.

While I love using the bigger screen on my laptop for gameplay, the mobile site comes in handy for a quick game or accessing my account at any time. Using a phone allows for unbeatable flexibility, putting Spree just a few taps away. Of course, this experience would be even better with a dedicated app, so hopefully, they will develop one down the line.

Is the Customer Support Any Good?

Customer support can be contacted by submitting a request in the Help Center. I was disappointed that I couldn’t message or talk directly to an agent. There is definite room for improvement in this area.

Firstly, I always check the Help Centre to see how useful it is. Spree’s one can be accessed at the bottom of the main menu on the left-hand side. There were a few helpful FAQs, but they didn’t have the detailed information that I was looking for.

I decided to contact customer support for my remaining queries. I could do this in the same section by clicking “Submit a request” in the top right corner. I had to select the topic of my inquiry, email, and account number.

Your account number is hidden away under “Profile,” then “My Account,” and “Personal Information.” It doesn’t feel like they’re making it easy to communicate with an agent. Next, I selected my issue, which prompted related FAQs to pop up. I ignored this as I’d already gone through them and entered the description of my query.

After sending this off, I received a reply after 20 minutes, which impressed me. Usually, you have to wait a few hours for email support. It doesn’t beat the immediacy of a live chat or phone number, but it is the next best thing. The agent who replied was professional and polite, providing me with clear and comprehensive information.

I sent a follow-up email with more questions and received a response in just under 30 minutes. It was good to be able to continue communication in this way rather than submitting a request each time. In fact, you can avoid the ticket request form altogether, if you prefer, by emailing [email protected] directly.

While I was impressed with Spree’s email support, it just doesn’t compare to a live chat. Many sweepstakes casinos offer this now, so Spree is falling behind competitors. There also isn’t a phone number, so this is a gap to be filled in being able to speak directly with the support.

You contact Spree in the following ways:

Is Spree Trustworthy?

Spree is a new sweepstakes casino that is legally available in 41 states. As it was only launched in 2024, it is yet to build a solid reputation like more established sweepstakes casinos. Unlike traditional real-money casinos, Spree operates under sweepstakes laws, ensuring compliance but still under less strict regulation.

The platform has games from 31 leading software providers, who would only collaborate with a reputable site. All of their games use Random Number Generators (RNGs) to ensure results are fair and random.

Advanced encryption is used to protect the personal and financial information of players. Additionally, Spree has a comprehensive KYC (Know Your Customer) verification process, requiring documents that confirm a player’s identity, age, and residency.

Who Owns Spree?

Spree is owned and operated by Play Spree Limited, a company registered in the Isle of Man. Not much information is available on this company, and Spree is the only sweepstakes casino that it operates.

What Do the Reviews Say?

Spree has an average rating of 3.4 stars on Trustpilot from 703 reviews. 46% of reviewers gave it 5 stars, which is a solid number. They highlight the game selection and the customer support as key strengths.

On the flip side, 22% of reviews are 1-star, with common complaints being the redemption process, including slow processing times and verification issues. I liked how active Spree is on TrustPilot. Not only do they reply to negative feedback with assistance, but they also take the time to thank players for their high ratings.

On Reddit, there are also mixed reviews. While many users note delays in their redemptions, others have replied that it is just a slow process. Many players state the reason behind this is that Spree is a new casino and is still ironing out these issues.

Are There Any Responsible Gaming Resources?

Spree provides a few basic resources for responsible gaming, but there’s definitely room for growth. You can find details on their “Responsible Gaming” page. Here, there is information about safe gameplay and how to limit GC purchases, self-exclude, and take a break. The whole page is essentially a huge lump of text, which isn’t easy to read. Just adding a few sections or headings could vastly improve it.

It’s also missing links to external organizations, proper advice, and a self-assessment questionnaire. They encourage users to contact support to set the control tools, but it would be better if users could set these themselves.

What’s the Difference Between Spree and a Real Money Casino?

Spree is different from a traditional online casino, as virtual currency is used to play games instead of real money. As a sweepstakes casino, it operates under sweepstakes laws rather than gambling regulations, making it a legal alternative in places where real-money online casinos aren’t allowed. Legally, the games at Spree run as promotional contests rather than a betting platform.

Players at Spree don’t deal with real money deposits or withdrawals. Instead, they play games using two types of virtual currencies: Gold Coins and Spree Coins (Sweeps Coins). GC is only for gameplay, while SC can be used to win real prizes like cash or gift cards. You can purchase Gold Coins, but Sweeps Coins are only available through bonuses.

How We Rate Sweepstakes Casinos

Our rating process for sweepstakes casinos is deeply immersive and based on our direct engagement with each platform. We sign up and use the site ourselves before we begin creating our reviews so that we can give you the most accurate and personal content.

During our week-long review period, we spend two hours on the following key areas:

  1. Bonuses & Promotions: We claim every promotion, starting with the no-deposit bonus, and actively participate in every promotion that is offered – from tournaments to social media giveaways. This allows us to provide a detailed account of each promotion, explain how to claim these bonuses, and compare them against other sweepstakes casinos.
  2. Games: This is the fun part! We play a wide variety of games so that we can assess the library as players. We look for a good mix of slots, table games, live dealers, and specialty games. Titles from reputable software providers are a good indication of a high-quality library. We also like to see exclusive titles.
  3. Payment Options: We purchase Gold Coins and redeem Sweeps Coins to see how easy and convenient it is. We rate sweepstakes casinos favorably if they support a broad array of payment methods, like credit/debit cards, e-wallets, bank transfers, and cryptocurrencies. We also access the speed of redemptions.
  4. User Experience: Our team tests how well the platform performs on desktop and mobile. If a dedicated app is available, we download and evaluate its functionality. We appreciate a sleek and modern design that is fit for new and experienced players alike.
  5. Customer Support: We contact customer support through all available channels, including live chat, email, phone, and contact form. We like to see knowledgeable, friendly, and quick replies from agents. We also favor a 24/7 live chat accessible to all players.

Would I Recommend Spree?

I would recommend Spree to beginners. It has a great selection of games and an easy-to-use site, but I do think there is room for improvement in certain areas.

Let’s start with what I liked. The library of games is excellent. There are over 1,560 slots, which is hard to beat in sweepstakes gaming. You can also find live dealer titles, which aren’t a common feature for sweepstakes casinos. The library is powered by an impressive 31 software providers.

Promotions were another highlight. There’s a daily bonus that sustains your gaming, meaning you don’t have to make a purchase. Weekly tournaments, social media giveaways, referral bonuses, free spins, and mail-in requests are available. Plus, it has one of the highest GC amounts that I’ve seen in a no deposit bonus.

However, I did have a few issues. For one, I wasn’t impressed with the purchase and redemption process. It’s restricted to only a few methods, and the processing time for cash redemptions is slow.

While email support is fast, I can’t score it highly for customer support as there’s no way to speak directly to an agent, whether through phone or live chat. I’d also like to see further variety in the library with standard table games or other specialty titles.

The platform is easy to use and user-friendly, but it is quite basic. That’s why I’d suggest it to beginners rather than experienced players who want more out of their gaming. If you like a diverse library of slots, I also think it is a good option, as I came across several titles that I haven’t seen before in sweepstakes gaming.
