LuckyBird Casino

LuckyBird went live in 2022, claiming to be the first “provably fair” sweepstakes casino that runs exclusively on cryptocurrency. LuckyBird is a unique addition to the sweeps industry, with original promos, community chat, and lots of exclusive games. All of that and more is covered in my LuckyBird review.

LuckyBird Promotions and Bonuses

Luckybird’s bonuses and promotions are one of their biggest selling points, in my opinion. Their no-deposit sweepstakes casino bonus is pretty average, but frequent, recurring offers were a highlight during the week I spent testing LuckyBird.io. Their unlimited Faucet bonus is my favorite.

How I Claimed LuckyBird’s No-Deposit Bonus

LuckyBird.io’s no-deposit bonus gives players 3,000 Gold Coins (GC) and 0.38 Sweeps Cash (SC) upon sign-up. I was happy with the beginner-friendly registration process and how I claimed the bonus, which I’m explaining here:

  1. I registered from LuckyBird’s homepage by entering a new username and password on the screen that appeared, ticking both checkboxes, and clicking “Sign Up.” Both boxes confirm that you’re at least 18+ years of age and that you agree to their Terms of Use.
  2. I checked my inbox, opened LuckyBird’s latest message, and clicked the link inside to verify my email address.
  3. I was redirected to LuckyBird’s casino homepage, where I saw 1,000 GC and 0.30 SC waiting in my account balance. I could start playing with both right away.
  4. To unlock the other 0.08 SC, I had to complete a series of simple “tasks”, including sending my first chat message and confirming my phone number. More details on these later.

Casino Bonus Code

There’s no LuckyBird.io bonus code required to opt into any of their latest promotions.

However, they sometimes post self-expiring GC/SC bonus drop codes on Twitter (X) and Telegram. Every code is randomized, and they expire after the bonus is claimed on a first-come-first-serve basis.

How Does The Sign Up Bonus Compare to Other Sweeps Casinos?

The LuckyBird sign-up bonus of 1,000 GC and 0.38 free SC is lower than average compared to most other sweepstakes casinos. For instance, Crown Coins features a no-deposit bonus of 100,000 GC and 2 free SC, whereas DingDingDing gives you just a little bit more with 100,000 GC and 2.5 free SC.

This is pretty much the industry standard, and I am disappointed if I receive fewer than 1 SC when I join a new site.

It’s worth noting that LuckyBird does shine with recurring promos and the Faucet feature, which provide lots of ways to get free GC and SC. However, the initial sign up bonus could definitely be improved.

Other LuckyBird Promotions in December 2024

Here’s a closer look at LuckyBird’s unique list of promotions. I’m discussing my experience with claiming each bonus and how to claim them.

Daily Bonus

LuckyBird’s daily login reward gave me 2,000 GC + 0.2 free SC for the week I spent testing the casino. Players who progress through LuckyBird’s VIP Club can earn up to 1 free SC each day, but they don’t mention the process (or any of the details, really) required to get there.

Lack of information aside, I had no trouble claiming my login reward each day. Click “Redeem,” toggle to “Daily Bonus” and select “Claim Daily Bonus” after signing into your account.

I’d like to see LuckyBird feature some kind of pop-up prompting players to claim their Daily Login Bonus, which is standard procedure at other sites. I found it largely by accident while taking a look at various buttons and tabs around the website, so I could easily see how it could be missed. .

GC and SC “Rain”

Rain is a unique feature exclusive to LuckyBird’s P2P chat. When a player drops rain, they choose an amount of GC/SC to share with anywhere from 5 – 30 players. The user that clicks “Rain” first gets a lion’s share of the free coins, followed by everyone else until nothing is left.

You can drop anywhere from 0.1 SC to 100 SC, or 50,000 GC to 5,000,000 GC, by opening the “Redeem” button and toggling to “Rain.” I was able to spread the love with 1 free SC distributed across ten random lucky players.

As another neat feature, I noticed that I could attach messages to the players along with my Rain gift.

Rain is a quirky and unique feature I haven’t seen before. I’m not even sure you would classify it as a bonus, since it’s actually the players redistributing their own coins rather than the casino. Still, I managed to snag some free GC and SC a couple of times, just by being in the right place at the right time.

LuckyBird rain feature

GC and SC “Tips”

Tips allows you to send GC or SC to another player directly, unlike the random element of Rain. You just need to know the other person’s username before making a donation to their account.

Toggle your GC or SC balance from the menu to send GC or SC, respectively. You can send an amount up to, but not exceeding, the amount of your current balance. There’s an option to make your tips appear publicly to everyone else via their P2P chat, but you don’t have to tick this box.

It’s cool that you can send and receive coins independently, adding to the sense of community I felt as a player at LuckyBird.

Daily & Hourly Contests

If you’re playing at LuckyBird, you’ll automatically participate in hourly and daily contests to win free GC and SC. No matter which game you’re playing, winning a sizable amount of GC or SC could result in an even bigger leaderboard prize down the line.

The scoring is a little convoluted, but I appreciate that LuckyBird goes into detail about how it works and how much you can win – which is not always the case at other casinos.

I also like the way that I was just opted-in automatically. I never managed to finish in the top 100, although I was close a couple of times. From what I could tell, you need to really play a lot to get a share of the prize pool.

LuckyBird Daily Contest rules

Task List

From time to time, LuckyBird will issue tasks that you can complete to earn free GC and SC. As soon as you sign up and unlock your 0.30 SC, you’ll get a list of tasks to max out the welcome bonus.

Here’s how it all broke down for me as a new player:

  • Verify Email Address – 1,000 GC + 0.3 free SC
  • Send Message in Chat – 0.02 free SC
  • Two-factor Authentication – 0.02 free SC
  • Follow LuckyBird on X – 0.02 free SC
  • Join Telegram Channel – 0.02 free SC

This is a very easy way to boost your supply of free coins soon after you sign up, although it’s still on the low side in terms of total welcome bonus value.

Tasks are accessible using the left sidebar, and opening the arrow next to each task shows a step-by-step explanation of how it’s supposed to be done. Notably, their first purchase offer is located within their task list.

First Purchase Reward

New players receive an extra 50,000 GC and 5 SC after buying at least $10 worth of GC and completing their KYC verification process.

Normally, spending $10 on a GC package comes with 100,000 GC and 10.2 free SC. With the addition of their initial purchase reward, you’re getting a total of 150,000 GC and 15.2 free SC.

LuckyBird Task List

Unlimited Faucet

LuckyBird’s unlimited Faucet bonus gives you a random number of free GC and SC at will. So long as your account balance has reached zero, you’ll qualify for a top-up.

This bonus marks a key difference between LuckyBird and established platforms like Chumba Casino or Hello Millions, where your only option when you run out is to either wait for another bonus to appear or purchase coins.

While I’ve seen free Gold Coin top-ups if your account hits zero, this is the first time I’ve seen Sweeps Cash (Sweeps Coins) included too. It’s a great feature.

The bonus was useful throughout my week, as I never felt pressured to make any purchases. I was able to claim Faucet bonuses after clicking the sink next to my profile avatar. After typing in the captcha and selecting “Claim,” I noticed 125 GC and 0.42 free SC appear in my balance.

LuckyBird Faucet

Mystery Chests

Luckybird has “Chest & Card” mystery bonuses once you’ve reached Level 4 of their VIP Club. Chests contain varying amounts of GC, SC, other Chests, and/or Letter Cards. You can view your available chests by selecting “Chest & Card” from the left sidebar.

You’ll get one treasure chest for every $10 spent on GC purchases, and you can have up to 50 unopened chests in your queue at the same time. Chests are valid for just two weeks after you receive them. In order to open a single chest, it’ll cost you 1,000 GC.

The more chests you have available to open all at once, the less it costs you to open each chest on an individual basis. I also noticed that I’d receive one free chest every time I shared this offer on social media.

I like the sound of this promo, but I wish it wasn’t reserved for players with relatively high activity levels. Since I didn’t make it to Level 4 over the course of a week, I can’t tell you how it worked out for me personally.

Card Bonuses

You can collect Letter Cards from your mystery Chests. If you collect five cards spelling out the word “LUCKY,” you’ll get a share of 2,000 SC in bonuses. Your share is never guaranteed as it’s a percentage of how many words you landed versus how many words were spelled total.

Let’s say that I connected three words, but I and everyone else spelled out 3,000 words in total.

Luckybird divides the number of words you spelled by the number of total words to calculate the weekly bonus you receive. Following the above example, I’d get 1% of the 2,000 free SC bonus pool for a total of 2 free SC.

Any cards you collect are valid until the following Monday, when the action resets and bonuses are distributed to your account. Again, this bonus unlocks at Level 4 because Letter Cards are only given out when you open Chests.

LuckyBird VIP Program

LuckyBird’s VIP program features fifteen levels, but you’ll only unlock the first level to become a VIP player once you’ve spent a total of 7,000 SC during gameplay. This is a pretty significant financial barrier, as all the Faucet bonuses in the world aren’t getting you anywhere close to 7k free SC.

Social casino gaming might be free, but this VIP Club requires expendable income, as far as I can tell. Each time you spend past a certain SC total, you move up a level.

SC Wager Amount Login Bonus Daily Bonus Weekly Bonus Monthly Bonus Rakeback Cashback Level Up Bonus
Level 1 7,000 SC 5%
Level 2 10,000 SC 7.5%
Level 3 20,000 SC 10%
Level 4 40,000 SC 12%
Level 5 100,000 SC 15%
Level 6  150,000 SC 16.5%
Level 7 200,000 SC 18%
Level 8  500,000 SC 20%
Level 9  1,000,000 SC 20.5%
Level 10 2,000,000 SC 21%
Level 11 N/A N/A
Level 12 N/A N/A
Level 13 N/A N/A
Level 14 N/A N/A
Level 15  N/A N/A

I don’t like how vague LuckyBird is about the program in general. They will give you a mystery “level-up” bonus after reaching Level 4 onwards, but they don’t give any indication of what that means. There’s no explanation provided of their VIP perks and/or benefits past Level 10, even though it goes up to Level 15.

By the time you reach Level 9, you need to have played 1,000,000 SC to advance – which is $1,000,000 in prizes! It doesn’t seem very realistic to me.

Referral Bonus and Affiliate Program

LuckyBird has both a referral bonus and an affiliate program.

The former gives you 2 free SC once your friend signs up and gets KYC-verified with your unique link. If they buy at least $20 worth of GC and play 500 SC or more, you’ll also receive another 8 free SC – which isn’t very much considering the 500 SC requirement.

The affiliate program is like an ongoing referral bonus. You’ll receive 1% commission from your friends’ SC gameplay on LuckyBird Originals. If your friend plays third-party titles from external software providers using Sweeps Cash, you earn 2% in SC commission instead of 1%

To take part, open the left sidebar, navigate to your profile, and select “Affiliate” to grab your link. Alternatively, you can use the drop-down menu to reveal a “Reward for U.S. friends” bonus – which just gives you the same link.

I found it slightly confusing that there were two separate sections for what is essentially the same promotion. I’m a big fan of the ongoing affiliate rewards though. It elevates the value of referring a friend a lot, especially if you happen to know any high rollers.

Bonus Drops

You can follow LuckyBird on Twitter (X) and join their Telegram channel using the links at the bottom of their website. Every two or three days, they’ll drop a mystery GC or SC bonus. Once all eligible players have claimed their share of the drop, the code expires.

Bonus drops operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. You have to be the quickest person to go to “Settings,” open “Bonus Drop,” and type in the code if you want a share of the prize pool

During my LuckyBird review, they handed out 5,000 GC to the fastest responders.

My Experience Opening a New Account at LuckyBird

I was able to sign up at LuckyBird in less than five minutes using nothing more than my email. I will discuss the steps I followed to get started, claim my no-deposit bonus, and complete tasks:

  1. Sign Up: Click our sign up link above to get started.
  2. Enter Details: Enter a new username and create a new password on the screen that appears through LuckyBird’s homepage. Tick both checkboxes to confirm you are at least 18 years old and that you accept LuckyBird’s Terms of Use. Click “Sign Up” to proceed.
  3. Confirm Your Email: Open your email inbox and look for a new message from LuckyBird. Click the link inside to confirm your email address. You’ll be redirected to the homepage showing the Task List.
  4. Complete Tasks for Bonuses: Confirming your email address gives you 1,000 GC and 0.3 free SC by default. Complete the list of tasks to finish setting up your account and claim an extra 0.08 SC.

I very much enjoyed the gaming menu at Luckybird, which felt like something a little different from the average sweepstakes casino. A big reason for this is their in-house originals, which include slots, table games and specialities.

They avoid the most well-known software providers, which means you won’t find classic games from the likes of Pragmatic Play here. This can be either a drawback or a novel quirk, depending on your perspective.

LuckyBird claims to be the world’s first “provably fair” sweepstakes platform. You can verify the outcome of each spin, round or game result by matching the probabilities against LuckyBird’s seed hash. Essentially, it means you don’t need to blindly trust the information given by the software provider, you can manually check the math if you want.

This feature is unique to LuckyBird, as I haven’t seen provably fair games advertised anywhere else throughout the US sweepstakes industry.

In addition to hosting 17 exclusive specialties and 17 original slots, LuckyBird is home to slots from six reputable software providers:

  • Tigerspin
  • Booming Games
  • BGaming
  • GameArt
  • Endorphina
  • 3 Oaks
  • Belatra
  • 1Spin4Win

Slot Games

Slots make up the bulk of the menu here, with 703 different games available during my review. Given the lack of more established software providers and titles, exploring this menu felt like a real step into the unknown.

For instance, apart from their inhouse games, they feature 131 exclusive slots created by a provider I wasn’t overly familiar with, called 1spin4win.

Although 1spin4win isn’t necessarily exclusive to LuckyBird, you won’t find the name featured by more popular sites like Chumba and RealPrize. I had fun getting to know new games and new providers, each with their own styles.

There were no progressive jackpot slots on offer, which is a pity.

Exploring the menu was a positive experience, too.

I was able to sort by provider, popularity, alphabetical order, and reverse alphabetical order with convenient search tags after launching “Slots” from the sidebar. I also appreciated being able to see exactly how many games belonged to each category.

As I mentioned already, all games are considered in automatic Hourly and Daily Contests for GC and SC players. If you land a sizable prize from any game, you might find yourself posted on their Leaderboard with a chance to win even more free coins.

I chose to play Holly Jolly Bonanza II, as Xmas was just around the corner when I first penned this article. When you open a game, you’ll be directed to “Fun Play” (GC) or “Real Play” (SC). I clicked “Fun Play,” and their helpful toggle allowed me to switch back and forth from GC to SC.

LuckyBird Holly Jolly Bonanza 2 Slot Game

I appreciated having access to a list of recommended titles beneath the gameplay window. You can chat with other players mid-spin about whatever you want. The focus on interactivity is a major selling point of LuckyBird, for me.

Table Games

LuckyBird produces all their own tables and card games, which you can find on their “Originals” page from the sidebar. I found blackjack, video poker, solo roulette, and multi-wheel roulette in their collection. Baccarat and live dealer games are notably missing, but there’s enough variety on deck for most casual players.

The graphics weren’t phenomenal by any means, but their tables focus on quick-paced action with provably fair results.

I checked the random outcome of my blackjack hand by opening the “Fairness” button beneath my gameplay window, where I was shown the Seed information for the client (me) and the server.

To be honest, it’s a bit over my head, but you can read all about how it works in the Provably Fair section you’ll find at the bottom of the screen.

LuckyBird Blackjack table game

Roulette presented the same minimalistic graphics, quick-paced action, and immediate results. I was able to select my preferred betting squares and watch the ball spin for a moment. Though I would like to see them add a baccarat game or two, LuckyBird doesn’t neglect the casino tables.

LuckyBird Roulette Table Game

LuckyBird Originals

LuckyBird hosts 17 original slots and 17 original arcade-style games, including the four tables I mentioned above.

These games were where LuckyBird really felt different from the more mainstream sweeps casinos, which tend to focus more on classic casino games. Instead, LuckyBird originals feature minimalist, text-heavy gameplay that feel more like a computer game than a casino game.

Here are some of the games available:

  • Limbo
  • Crash
  • Dice
  • Plinko
  • Tower
  • Mines
  • Gems
  • Hi-Lo
  • Coin Flip
  • SuperBird
  • Wheel

I’ve seen variations of these specialties on DingDingDing and Stake.us, two other sweepstakes casinos that also accept crypto payments.

However, you won’t normally find these kinds of games at a social casino that accepts cash-only, such as Chumba or McLuck. I enjoyed cleansing my palate with non-traditional titles, and I wish more platforms would begin to follow this approach.

LuckyBird’s Payment and Redemption Experience

Players are never obligated to make purchases at LuckyBird.io, as they are a sweepstakes casino. I got 1,000 GC and 0.38 free SC after signing up and completing various simple tasks to confirm my account information. I also claimed GC and SC whenever my casino balance reached zero using their unlimited Faucet bonus. Suffice to say, there are free coins everywhere you look.

If you want, you can also purchase Gold Coins and redeem sweepstakes prizes through cryptocurrency-only at LuckyBird.io. They don’t accept cash in any capacity. Other sites, like DingDingDing, cater to a wider base of players by accepting both cash and crypto for GC purchases.

I had a positive experience buying coins and redeeming prizes here, but you need to be at least somewhat familiar with cryptocurrency before diving in. As usual, bonus Sweeps Cash has a 1x wagering requirement before it can be redeemed for crypto.

If you want to convert your crypto prizes to regular cash down the line, you have to go through a third-party exchange.

LuckyBird Payments

LuckyBird takes payments made through Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), USD Tether (USDT), Solana (SOL), Ripple (XRP), Stellar (XLM), and TRON. There’s no way to pay with traditional debit cards, credit cards or e-wallets.

I’m not a fan of their $10 purchase minimum, as I’ve seen DingDingDing (another crypto-friendly social casino) offer their least expensive bundle for just $2.99. Chumba Casino sets the standard with a $0.50 purchase minimum. It’s similarly easy to initiate coin purchases at all three social casinos.

However, LuckyBird’s purchase process may take some getting used to if you’re accustomed to paying with cash. Their instructions were easy to follow, but pre-existing knowledge of crypto would definitely be an advantage. I was able to purchase 100,000 GC, claim 5 free SC, and qualify for a free gift on top of that using Bitcoin.

Click “Buy” to launch their purchase menu. Select your preferred GC package and choose your preferred form of crypto payment using the next screen. You can either copy your GC purchase address by tapping the clipboard or scan the mobile-friendly QR code with your phone camera.

The latter option is best if you already have CashApp pre-installed on your phone, as CashApp handles Bitcoin payments for beginners. I used my CashApp to purchase 0.00009433 BTC and fund my casino account with the equivalent of $10 USD. In reality, all I did was hit a few buttons.

Crypto purchases require at least one confirmation on the blockchain before reflecting in your account balance. I waited 10 minutes before my purchase was confirmed once, at which point 100,000 GC + 10 free SC were sent to me automatically.

I also claimed 50,000 GC, one free Treasure Chest, and 5 extra SC thanks to LuckyBird’s first purchase bonus. In total, my first purchase left me with 150,000 GC, 15 free SC, and a Chest.

Notably, LuckyBird permits up to $9,000 in Gold Coin purchases per 24-hour period per player.

LuckyBird purchase screen

LuckyBird Redemptions

LuckyBird utilizes an identical crypto menu for purchases and redemptions, the latter of which start from just 30 redeemable SC. In comparison, RealPrize and DingDingDing require players to win at least 45 SC and 100 SC before redeeming cash prizes or gift cards, so Luckybird.io wins out here.

All three casinos assign $1.00 USD in prize value to each redeemable Sweeps Cash. However, LuckyBird converts your SC winnings to crypto using the latest exchange rates. There’s no way to redeem cash prizes, so you’re tasked with converting your crypto to real cash independently.

LuckyBird requires players to complete KYC verification independently by sending a message to [email protected]. There’s no third-party online portal, which feels less secure compared to other casinos – like Hello Millions for instance – that work through Sumsub or Veriff to securely handle your documentation.

I had to submit a picture of the front and back of my state ID card before taking a well-lit selfie of me holding my identification. I waited twelve hours before getting an email that I’d been verified. It’s not too awkward, but an automated process would definitely be an improvement.

I requested my first redemption using Bitcoin from the drop-down menu after clicking “Redeem.” Enter your receiving address and review your information before clicking “Redeem” once again to finalize your redemption. I got my crypto delivered two minutes later, which is very fast.

In fact, LuckyBird advertises that 99.5% of all payments are processed instantly, which is impressive and a big advantage over competitors. They retain the right to subject larger crypto redemptions to a 24-hour review period before they get approved, which seems fair to me.

Overall User Experience – Is Luckybird Fun to Play At?

I had a great time playing at LuckyBird. Despite offering loads of features and promotions, their collapsing menus deliver enough screen space to get lost in the gaming experience. It’s a much better setup than DingDingDing; a platform that almost impedes the action with continuous ads.

LuckyBird has a downloadable app for Android, but it’s only available through their website. My iPhone 16 was able to handle their mobile-optimized website using Google Chrome. LuckyBird’s UI caters to newbies while retaining all the glamour you’d expect from a modern crypto sweeps platform.

LuckyBird on Desktop

LuckyBird’s desktop interface goes easy on the eyes with a deep purple, game icons that hover in the empty space, and a buzzy chat box on the right hand side. I felt as though I stepped into an adult-friendly arcade. I also appreciate how they’ve added a link to their downloadable Android app at the site footer.

I found it easy to browse through software providers, view their latest Originals, check promos, claim Faucet bonuses, and send chats with just a few taps. Everything is clearly indicated with side menus that expand and collapse to show/hide categories depending on your preference.

I liked being able to sort games alphabetically, but I wish there was a way to sort by slot themes on the website. I also wish they’d include a button to minimize the P2P chat. While it’s certainly a fun activity, it’s also compulsory to see different people’s conversations in real-time.

Beyond these issues, I’d have to say that my biggest complaint was encountering a few spelling mistakes. I had no trouble following instructions as I signed up and made purchases, but it’s not a good look seeing this sort of carelessness in plain view.

Luckily, it didn’t overshadow my overall positive experience.

LuckyBird on Mobile

Even though LuckyBird has a downloadable app for Android devices, there’s no equivalent for iOS users. I logged into my casino account using Google Chrome on my iPhone 16. I was glad to notice a familiar UI, as the only change they’ve made is a bottom menu for easier navigation.

I was able to pull up or minimize the P2P chat on mobile, which I prefer to their mandatory chat interface on desktop. I enjoyed full gaming compatibility as I tested slots, originals and tables in between daily errands.

If I’m being honest, their mobile site looks more like an app than some competitors that have actual apps – DingDingDing I’m looking at you. Comparatively, I enjoyed a crisp, clean and entertaining experience with LuckyBird.

Is the Customer Support Any Good?

LuckyBird provides mediocre customer support. I was happy to discover a “Live Support” button until I realized that it was merely repackaged ticket support. They don’t offer chat-based support on the site, or on X or Telegram despite using both platforms every few days to publish GC/SC bonus drops.

Their email support team works to process inquiries within 3 to 4 hours. I sent a message to [email protected] on three separate occasions at various times of day and night.

I spoke to competent, supportive, understanding, and knowledgeable agents at every turn. This doesn’t make up for their lack of live support, but help is just a few hours away most of the time.

It certainly beats the 12-hour email response window I’ve experienced at RealPrize and McLuck.

Their support email is listed near the website footer, and their ticket support box is available via the left sidebar. I clicked “Live Support” to read through commonly asked questions, browse the Help Center, and submit tickets underneath “Messages” – which is really just the same email support.

While their 24/7 P2P chat is no substitute for live support, it’s my favorite way to get the answers I need when I need them. Someone told me how to verify the outcome of each game using seed hashes, and another random user explained their “Rain” and “Tips” in more detail at my request.

Here’s how you can get in touch with support at LuckyBird.io:

Is LuckyBird Trustworthy?

LuckyBird is a trustworthy casino, but I’d rank them as less trustworthy than sites like Chumba or McLuck because they don’t go the extra mile with industry-standard responsible gaming options.

So there’s nothing actively malicious about them, but they don’t provide many ways to help players protect themselves.

According to social proof and my own experience, LuckyBird processes secure crypto payments and prize redemptions. I was also a huge fan of their “provably fair” verification method, which is exclusive to LuckyBird as of the end of 2024. It’s hard to argue the site isn’t trustworthy, when they let you check all their games for yourself.

They require all players to be at least 18+ years of age. However, they handle KYC verification through direct email instead of a third-party company like Sumsub or Veriff. This procedure feels less-than-professional, and I’d encourage LuckyBird.io to consider how safe their players feel submitting sensitive documents to a random email address.

Again, because LuckyBird is safe, there’s no active threat here. However, their current model of email-only KYC verification leaves the casino open to malicious, third-party actors and hackers.

Who Owns LuckyBird?

LuckyBird.io is owned and operated by LuckyBird. They don’t have any sister sites to speak of, and there’s no registered company address listed at the bottom of their website.

Social and sweeps casinos don’t require a traditional gambling license to exist, but it would be nice to see more details about the owners of the site.

What Do The Reviews Say?

LuckyBird boasts a 4.1 out of 5 star TrustPilot TrustScore based on 279 player reviews. Those who’ve appreciated their time spent at LuckyBird discuss near-immediate redemptions, Faucet bonuses, VIP benefits, and P2P interactivity as their main reasons for continuing to game here.

One less-than-satisfied player discussed how he only received 80 free SC as a level-up bonus after wagering a “whopping 2.6 million.” Other reviewers bemoan their lack of live chat support, especially because it’s advertised as “Live Support.”

Are There Any Responsible Gaming Resources?

There is definitely room for improvement here. The responsible gaming information and resources that do exist seem to be spread out in different parts of the site. I’d like to see a well-advertised, easy to use responsible gaming section that shows you everything on one place.

At the moment, explanation of a “Responsible Social Gameplay” policy is limited to Section 15 of their Terms of Use and some articles I arrived at via the FAQ.

You can find a  “Responsible Gaming” section under “Settings”, but it pretty much only has a self-exclusion button. When I clicked it, they just sent me an email saying a 24 hour cool-off period had started.

There’s no option to set GC purchase limits, allow Activity Reminders, request session limits, or implement SC play limits. LuckyBird falls behind the curve in this department.

What’s The Difference Between LuckyBird and a Real Money Casino?

LuckyBird is a sweepstakes casino. While real money casinos accept cash wagers, LuckyBird uses Gold Coins (GC) and Sweeps Cash (SC) to allow entirely free gameplay. GC are used for fun-only, as they can’t be redeemed for any crypto prizes.

If you participate in contests and play games with Sweeps Cash, you can redeem the SC you win for crypto prizes.

LuckyBird doesn’t require a traditional gambling license, giving them free agency to operate in 45 U.S. states and Washington, D.C.

How We Rate Sweepstakes Casinos

Sweepschaser uses an identical rating process to evaluate different casinos. Our team spends a week gathering first-hand information about every platform we review.

We spend a minimum of two hours researching five key areas that comprise the foundation of our reviews:

  • Bonuses and Promotions: We opt into every promotion we can find at every casino we review. We begin with the no-deposit offer before participating in tournaments, collecting login rewards, and following casinos on social media to look for giveaways. We prioritize sites that offer VIP perks, easy-to-claim bonuses, and better purchase deals than competing sites.
  • Games: Our team plays a minimum of twenty slots, tables, specialties, live games, bingo games, and whatever else we find using both GC and SC. We consider the number and merits of each platform’s partnered software providers. We like to see diverse and interesting gaming menus, and appreciate unique and exclusive games.
  • Payment Options: We buy Gold Coins, complete each casino’s KYC verification, and request SC redemptions. This allows us to provide a detailed overview of the purchase and prize-out procedures at each platform we review. Our team prioritizes casinos that accept e-wallets, promise low purchase/redemption minimums, and host GC discounts.
  • User Experience: We consider how a site feels to use on desktop and mobile devices, looking for unique features like the presence of a downloadable app. Our preferred site layout combines beginner-friendly software with attractive, modern design. We like customizable search filters and common sense organization.
  • Customer Support: Our team gets in touch with support at every casino we review. We send out live chats, drafted emails, submit support tickets, call over the phone, and exhaust all contact options. We like to see 24/7 support availability, fast response times, and whether or not a casino makes you pay for chat service. We also appreciate a detailed and helpful FAQ section.

Why Trust SweepsChaser?

SweepsChaser provides accurate, authentic, and independent reporting based upon personal research and experience. We create new accounts and become actual players to get an inside look at how everything works.

Our team relies upon decades of combined personal and professional experience to search for problems that beginners wouldn’t ordinarily spot. We understand how the fine print can make or break your gaming experience, and we know what it takes to set a platform apart from the pack.

Even though we’re the first to praise casinos that go the extra mile for their players, we’re equally quick to issue direct criticism if we find a red flag. If you’re looking for sweepstakes reviews with no sugarcoating, SweepsChaser has you covered.

Would I Recommend LuckyBird?

I’d happily recommend LuckyBird to sweepstakes players that are okay with using crypto for purchases and redemptions. They feature a wide variety of specialties, slots, and tables with “provably fair” verification built into your experience, which is a nice touch.

I found lots of unique features that I liked at LuckyBird. Their gaming menu includes lots of interesting original games you won’t find anywhere else. I thoroughly enjoyed their unlimited GC and SC “Faucet” bonus. Automatic daily and hourly GC and SC contests were another nice touch

Their P2P community chat was the highlight of my experience as I watched no less than 1,000+ users bantering, handing out Tips, sharing gameplay advice, and fighting over unpaid SC loans at any given time. I work around-the-clock, so I’ve seen it active at 2 PM and 2 AM all the same.

In terms of downsides, I have to accept that some players will be turned off by their lack of fiat compatibility. I would also like to see live dealer games added, and instant chat support.
