Global Poker

Global Poker is a sweepstakes poker room that went live in February 2016 under the direction of VGW GP Limited. It’s the most popular sweeps poker site in the US, and hosts tables for Texas Hold Em, Omaha, Crazy Pineapple and more for players in 44 U.S. states and Canada.

My Global Poker review explores their latest games, bonuses, purchase options, prize redemptions and much more.

Global Poker Promotions and Bonuses

Compared with a regular sweepstakes casino, there aren’t many ways to claim free bonus coins at Global Poker.

I received 100,000 GC after signing up and verifying my email address, but there’s no SC on deck for new players. Their login reward is a better deal. It starts with 1,000 GC and 0.25 SC

on Day 1. If you log in for seven days in a row, you’ll claim 2,500 GC and 1 free SC on Day 7.

They hand out free chips on social media, but that’s the extent of what’s happening at Global Poker. They’re missing a VIP program, and I’d like to see them add a referral bonus at some point. I opted into every promotion at Global Poker, and I’m showing you how to do the same.

How I Claimed Global Poker’s No-Deposit Bonus

You’ll earn 100,000 GC after signing up and verifying your email with Global Poker. Here’s how to get started:

  1. I entered my email address, created a password, and clicked “Next” to continue with their registration process.
  2. I checked my inbox, opened Global Poker’s verification message, and clicked the link inside to activate my account. I was prompted to create a new username, choose my country/state of residence, and read Global Poker’s terms of use.
  3. I ticked the boxes to agree with Global Poker’s terms of use, privacy policy, sweeps rules, and customer acceptance policy. By ticking the boxes, I also certified that I’m 21+ years of age. Tap “Continue” and enter your mobile phone number when asked.
  4. Tap “Send Verification Code” and re-enter the six-digit code you receive through SMS. Once finished, click “Submit” and wait to be sent to their website. You’ll notice 100,000 GC in your casino balance. I was able to play games with GC instantly after signing up.

Global Poker Bonus Code

There’s no Global Poker bonus code required to participate in any of their latest promotions.

How Does The Sign-up Bonus Compare to Other Sweeps Casinos?

While it contains an appreciable number of Gold Coins to start out, Global Poker’s sign-up offer feels less generous than average. It doesn’t come with any free Sweeps Coins, which are your key to participating in sweepstakes contests for real prizes.

The vast majority of casinos and poker platforms give away between 1 – 3 free SC as a starting reward. I’ve personally received 7,500 GC and 2.5 free SC from McLuck, but Chumba goes the extra mile for GC players with a starting reward of 2 million GC and 2 free SC.

Clubs Poker, another sweepstakes poker room, includes some SC free spins with their no deposit bonus, which is a route to getting some free SC.

Unfortunately, Global Poker one of the only sweeps platforms without free SC in their no-deposit offer.

Other Global Poker Promotions in April 2025

Here’s a rundown of the latest bonuses, promotions, and events taking place at Global Poker:

Daily Bonus

Unlike many platforms, Global Poker requires users to complete their KYC process before they can earn daily login rewards. Click “Verify Your Account” and follow the instructions to get KYC verified. Once finished, you’ll receive the following 24-hour bonuses on a seven-day schedule:

  • Day 1: 1,000 GC + 0.25 free SC
  • Day 2: 1,100 GC + 0.25 free SC
  • Day 3: 1,200 GC + 0.25 free SC
  • Day 4: 1,300 GC + 0.25 free SC
  • Day 5: 1,400 GC + 0.55 free SC
  • Day 6: 1,500 GC + 0.55 free SC
  • Day 7: 2,500 GC + 1 free SC

Every day, you’ll notice a pop-up with your current bonus displayed. If you miss their pop-up, tap “Get Coins” and click the bottom of the screen to claim your daily rewards.

You must log in for multiple days in a row if you’d like to receive increasing GC and SC bonuses. Missing a day sets you back to Day 1’s bonus, which gives you 1,000 GC and 0.25 free SC. I’m happy that Global Poker has bonuses that grow over time, but they’re still pretty lackluster.

For example, Zula Casino gives their players 10,000 GC and 1 free SC every day, not just once per week.

First Purchase Bonus

Global Poker’s first purchase bonus gives new players an opportunity to buy 200,000 GC and claim 40 free SC for just $20. Normally, spending $20 buys you 100,000 GC with 20 free SC. I appreciate the generosity of this purchase discount, but I do think it could be a little bit more affordable.

I’ve seen plenty of similar offers at competing platforms at more user friendly price points. Chumba Casino sets the example for Global Poker to follow, as they’re giving away 10 million GC and 30 free SC for just $10.00.

Refer-A-Friend Bonus

Global Poker doesn’t have a referral bonus at this time, putting them behind most other casinos in terms of promotional variety.

Social Media Giveaways

Global Poker is very active on Facebook where you can find news about upcoming tournaments and contests and giveaways where you can pick up free GC and SC. During my review, they had recently signed a sponsorship deal with Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, so he was presenting a lot of the ads.

The presence of Phelps is an impressive touch, and shows how far Global Poker has come and how genuinely big the platform is.

For the most part, you simply need to interact with Global Poker’s posts with the chance to win a share of some bonus GC or SC. Sometimes, you need to answer a trivia question, solve a puzzle, or get creative with a reply.

I like when reputable sweeps casinos regularly interact with their users, and Global Poker does a good job of building the community on their Facebook page.

The Vault

The Vault at Global Poker collects a fraction of the GC and SC you bet that builds up over time, which you can reclaim down the line. They don’t give many specifics about the rate the coins appear, but it’s clear that more gameplay equals more coins in The Vault.

I found 26 GC in my Vault after a 20 minute ring game session. However, you won’t be able to claim free SC from The Vault until you’ve gotten KYC-verified. To view The Vault, open your Profile and scroll down to your coin balance.

Mail-in Offers

Global Poker accepts mail-in SC requests from their players. According to Section 3.3 of their Sweepstakes Rules, you’ll receive 5 free SC for each envelope they accept. You must become KYC-verified before mailing SC envelopes, as each letter needs a unique postal request code.

You can view postal request codes by signing in, clicking “Get Coins,” selecting “Play For Free” and following their instructions. Each handwritten letter must also contain your full name, email address, return address, and their quoted statement.

Notably, request codes (and their associated envelopes) expire 30 days after being generated. You have a month to make sure your envelopes reach their registered address to claim credits.

The Maverick O Series

The Maverick O Series is back at Global Poker, featuring Omaha gaming action from March 3-9. The series includes 28 Gold Coin and 28 Sweeps Coin events, with low, medium, and high buy-ins. Players can easily participate in the series by locating a buy-in based on play level or budget. The total prize money up for grabs includes 136,500,000 GC prizes and 250,000 SC prizes.

The schedule of events includes freerolls as well as the Main Events. GC players can compete for 12,000,000 in prizes during the Main Event tournament, while Sweeps Coin players are vying for a 40,000 SC prize pool. Game formats of the series include PLO, Fixed Limit O8, and Hi-Lo.

My Experience Opening an Account at Global Poker

It took me just five minutes to sign up with Global Poker, verify my information, and get 100,000 Gold Coins. Here’s what I did to get started:

  • Choose your registration method: Choose whether you’d like to register via Google, Facebook, or email. I started from scratch using my email address.

What I Liked and Disliked About Global Poker

Global Poker’s impressive range of tournaments, ring games, and freerolls were highlights for the week I spent testing their platform. However, many aspects of the user experience require improvement. Notably, their individual bonuses and customer support options aren’t up-to-par.

Global Poker hosts a good range of poker types, tables, and tournaments. If you’re stuck waiting for a table to fill up, they also feature a casino library that offers surprising diversity with 97 slots, eight jackpots, six virtual table games, bingo, Slingo, instant-win titles, and scratch cards.

Personally, I’m a huge fan of their versatility. Their lack of live dealer tables notwithstanding, it’s evident that Global Poker has games for everyone.

Still, the focus here is going to be on poker, and the range of formats and games rivals real money poker rooms like Poker Stars, in my opinion.

Ring Games

Global Poker offers ring games for Omaha, Hold ‘Em, Omaha H/L, and Crazy Pineapple. I was able to search by poker type, buy-ins and round limits using the boxes located above their list of active/upcoming events. I appreciate the wide range of buy-ins for GC and SC users alike.

SC players can buy into any Ring Game with as little as 4 SC, and GC players will need at least 5,000 GC. If you’re feeling frisky, you can spend up to 5,000,000 GC or 800 SC buying into their high-limit games.

Global Poker Ring Games

Ring games seat six people, and you can join whenever there’s an open seat. I hopped into the action at their “Inglewood” event, which cost me just 5,000 GC. Their 25 GC / 50 GC blinds felt quite affordable at that buy-in.

The “Dealer” tab gives you a play-by-play of what’s happened so far, and you can trash talk the competition underneath their “Chat” tab. In all respects, gameplay feels interactive and realistic.

Global Poker Table Game

Sit n’ Go

Sit n’ Go’s are like mini tournaments. Unlike ring games, where you can stop and start playing whenever you like, Sit n’ Go’s continue until there is just one winner.

They seat between two to four people at once, and anyone can join. However, the game doesn’t start until the required number of players have joined the room. Again, I appreciate Global Poker’s wide range of round buy-ins and blind speeds.

Global Poker Sit 'n' Go

The filtering system made it very easy to narrow down the list of available tables to find one I was looking for.

I jumped into their 3-Max game, which seats three players. The action started as soon as I joined the room, as two players had pre-registered, and the whole thing was over with in ten minutes.

Hyper Turbo Sit n Go’s, where the blinds go up extremely quickly, are ideal if you’re short of time. I like the way you can easily find a game to suit your session time.

Global Poker Table

Jackpot Sit n’ Go

Jackpot Sit n’ Go’s introduce a random RNG element to the classic Sit n’ Go format. These games seat exactly three players and the total prize pool is randomized.

You can buy your ticket for as little as 1,000 GC or 0.25 SC, and you’ll have the opportunity to win between 2x and 200x your buy-in. I saw max prizes reaching 4 million GC or 2,000 SC, and the last person standing brings it home.

The only exception to this “winner-takes-all” rule is their priciest 20,000 GC / 10 SC tournament. If you’re playing for all the marbles, the first-place winner gets 75% of the jackpot. Second place gets 15%, and third place gets 10%.

Global Poker Jackpot Sit n' Go

While maybe not for poker purists, Jackpot Sit n’ Go’s add an extra layer of excitement to proceedings. Waiting to see your randomized prize pool after the table fills up is a moment of real tension, which isn’t part of the more classic poker format.

According to Global Poker’s support page, you have a three in 10,000 chance of winning 200x your buy-in for GC or SC. I appreciate how they’ve gone the extra mile to discuss your odds in great detail.

Tournaments

Global Poker features regular, guaranteed, satellite, re-buy, and bounty-style knockout events. These events start at designated times and the number of players entirely depends on who decides to sign up.

They host hourly No Limit Hold ‘Em freerolls exclusively for GC players. You can take home a slice of 25,000 GC, but competition is stiff because everyone is allowed to play with free chips.

Global Poker Tournaments

I participated in their 250,000 GC No Limit Hold’ Em tournament, which seated nine people at each table for multi-tiered action. Global Poker has a solid player pool, but the player numbers are small enough that these freerolls give you a very realistic shot of winning – while I started with 34 competitors, 11 people dropped within the hour. For reference, this event can hold 2k players.

Global Poker Table

I was able to view the kind of poker being played, see the date/time of each upcoming event, check the buy-in requirement for GC/SC, see the number of players allowed, and access the real-time registration status of any event at a glance. I love how they’ve organized the details.

Across the board, the poker software at Global Poker works very well. I experienced virtually no lag while playing and I found it very easy to follow the action and keep track of stacks, bets and blinds. It feels similar to playing at real money poker rooms, in my opinion.

Slots

In case you get bored of waiting for another poker round to begin, Global Poker has a dedicated slots selection. They produce 97 video slots and eight progressive jackpots in-house, using the VGW seal of approval to deliver an exclusive gaming experience.

As a sister site, Chumba Casino has many of the same slots as Global Poker. If you’re looking for a site like Chumba that puts the emphasis on real-time poker action, this fact is worth considering. They also follow in Chumba’s lead with bingo, Slingo, and instant-win games for GC/SC players.

While it’s not quite the same as a dedicated sweepstakes casino, it’s definitely a great addition to the poker experience.

I love their unique, pop-culture themed games. I played “Star Trek: The Next Generation” for my chance to win 10,000x my GC or SC play value.

Global Poker Star Trek Slot

Although I didn’t get to travel at warp speed on the bonus wheel, my time on The Enterprise was filled with eye-catching views and electrifying wins. If you’re looking for games that are just a bit out of the ordinary, Global Poker makes up for their lack of quantity with diversely original ideas.

Table Games

Global Poker hosts six virtual table games, including Casino Hold ‘Em. You can also play craps, Casino Solitaire, classic blackjack, premium blackjack, and Caribbean Poker. All their tables are designed in-house, and I was able to play blackjack for just 1,000 GC per hand.

Global Poker Blackjack

Across the board, Global Poker’s round and spin limits feel geared towards every player, with a ride range of betting limits accepted. I also enjoyed this game’s crisp graphics, fast-paced rounds, and flexible chip sizes. If you’re here for larger wins, their premium blackjack table has a minimum of 10,000 GC per hand with chips ranging in size from 10,000 GC – 100,000,000 GC each.

Casino Wizard Craps became another one of my favorite games during the week I spent here. I was taken through a step-by-step tutorial of how to play beforehand, which was a nice refresher.

Global Poker Casino Wizards Craps

I was able to see my virtual dice roll across the 3D table in real-time, and my experience rivaled what I’d expect from a dedicated casino site. Global Poker doesn’t host quite as many options as the competition, but VGW’s in-house production quality is impressive.

Global Poker Payment and Redemption Experience

You’re not required to purchase coins before playing at Global Poker. They’ll give you 100,000 GC after you sign up, verify your email, and confirm your phone number. I received increasing login bonuses that started at 1,000 GC + 0.25 SC and ended with 2,500 GC + 1 SC on Day 7.

That said, they don’t hand out as many SC as their competitors and I could see why people would be tempted to make purchases. I’d like to see this tweaked so there were more free coin opportunities.

If you’re running low on Gold Coins, you can buy more with real money. Their $2.00 purchase minimum is beginner-friendly, but I’m not a fan of their 50 SC redemption requirements.

Global Poker Payment Details

Payments

Global Poker uses Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, and Trustly Online Banking for purchases on desktop. If you’re browsing the mobile website on iOS, you can also buy GC with Apple Pay.

New players will get 200,000 GC and 40 free SC for $20 instead of $40 on their initial purchase.

However, their least expensive package buys you 10,000 GC for $2 even. At the top end of the spectrum, players can buy a maximum of 2,600,000 GC and 515 free SC for $500. Until you’re KYC-verified, you’re limited to spending $1,000 per day, $1,500 per week or $2,000 per month.

Here’s a closer look at Global Poker’s non-discounted GC purchase menu:

  • $2 – 10,000 GC
  • $5 – 25,000 GC + 4 free SC
  • $10 – 50,000 GC + 9 free SC
  • $20 – 100,000 GC + 20 free SC
  • $50 – 250,000 GC + 51 free SC
  • $100 – 500,000 GC + 102 free SC
  • $300 – 1,550,000 GC + 306 free SC
  • $500 – 2,600,000 GC + 515 free SC

I opted into Global Poker’s boosted $20 package with my initial purchase. They’ve made it easy to pay with your card details or bank login. If you’ve already connected your card via Apple Pay, you can buy GC with a single tap on the mobile site. They offer an ideal blend of speed and usability.

I was prompted to enter my card number, expiry date, CVV code, name, and billing address. If you’re using Trustly, you’ll be asked to choose a bank and sign in with your external password. In all respects, buying Gold Coins is no more convoluted than shopping online for new players.

Here’s how I bought coins at Global Poker:

  1. Click “Get Coins” from the top portion of the website.
  2. Choose your preferred GC package on the next screen.
  3. Choose “Online Banking” or “Cards” on the following page.
  4. Enter your full name, card number, expiry date, and CVV code.
  5. If you chose Trustly, select your bank and log in when prompted.
  6. Click “Pay” to complete your purchase, then refresh the website.

I received 200,000 GC and 40 free SC immediately. From start to finish, I spent a minute buying Gold Coins my first time around.

Redemptions

You must win at least 50 SC during gameplay to redeem prizes at Global Poker. They make it possible to request gift card redemptions, bank transfers, and cash prizes through Skrill. I wish they followed in Chumba’s footsteps by allowing beginners to redeem just 10 SC via gift card.

Any free SC you receive from Global Poker through a bonus or giveaway carries 1x playthrough requirements. You must spend your bonus SC on gameplay once before it can be redeemed for prizes. Each SC that you win playing poker or casino games is redeemable for $1.00 equivalent.

I won 64 SC after scrambling inside the bubble on a No Limit Hold ‘Em tournament mid-way through the week. I clicked on “Get Coins” and toggled “Redeem Prize” from the next page. I clicked “Cash Prize” to request my first prize via Skrill. I signed in with my Skrill account and I received my $50 payment the following day.

Still, you have to transfer funds between Skrill and your bank account manually. I also requested a prize via standard bank transfer. I was prompted to enter my routing/account details, verify my billing address, and confirm my personal information. I received a $50 payment three days later.

While bank transfers take between 1 – 5 working days to hit your account, I made the mistake of requesting mine on a Friday. Here’s how to request your initial prize redemption at Global Poker:

  1. Click “Get Coins” and “Redeem Prize.”
  2. Choose “Gift Cards” or “Cash Prize” on the next page.
  3. Enter the number of SC you want to redeem for prizes.
  4. If you choose a gift card prize, confirm your email address when prompted.
  5. If you chose a bank transfer, enter your routing and account information.
  6. If you chose a Skrill payment, log in with your Skrill account when asked.
  7. Wait for delivery to your email inbox, Skrill balance, or bank account.

Before your first prize redemption gets approved, you’ll have to do Global Poker’s KYC process. As I mentioned before, you’ll also need to verify your account before claiming GC and SC login rewards, so chances are you’ll have done this already by the time you request a prize.

I was prompted to upload a picture of my driver’s license and take a selfie for liveness purposes. They partner with Jumio to process your sensitive information. They reviewed my documents 12 hours after I submitted them, which is a standard timeframe no matter in my experience.

You can redeem up to 10,000 SC in daily prizes, but this limit drops to 5,000 SC for all players in New York and Florida.

Overall User Experience – Is Global Poker Fun to Play At?

Global Poker presents a fluid and beginner friendly user experience for players on desktop and mobile devices. Whether you’re enjoying poker or taking a stab at their abbreviated casino library, Global Poker’s graphics and loading speeds are impressive across the board.

While I’d like to see them host a proper app for one-tap access on mobile devices, that’s the only thing they’re missing. I had no trouble finding tournaments that matched my availability, budget, and game type preference on the smaller screen.

Global Poker’s interface is somewhat barebones, but it gives you all the most important details at first glance. The filtering system for the poker menu is a real highlight, and I could easily check or uncheck  the different boxes to explore everything on offer.

I was able to switch between Ring Games, Sit n’ Go events, tournaments, and Jackpot Sit n’ Go via the header up top. I also filtered by round limit, game type and buy-ins.

I was able to switch between GC and SC gameplay by toggling my balance at the upper-right corner. I found it similarly easy to buy coins, redeem prizes, claim free entry codes for request letters, claim daily rewards, and view my SC prize redemption history by clicking “Get Coins.”

I enjoyed being able to customize my avatar, which is a nice way to make the experience feel more personal. It appears at the table when you play, along with the other players.

Clicking your avatar at the top-left corner of the screen shows your profile settings and account information. I was able to switch from poker/casino gameplay, view upcoming casino challenges and participate in multiple poker events at once using the tabs displayed next to the screen icon.

I love how Global Poker makes it easy to perform a range of important functions from one place on their website. I’m also a fan of the visual contrast present within their black-and-red interface.

If you’re looking for a random event, set your filters and click “Find Game” to join the latest open match that meets your criteria. You can even create private games with up to eight friends. It will cost 25,000 GC to set up.

Global Poker Find Game

Their casino interface is organized according to game category, but they don’t host enough titles to require more in-depth search filters. While it’s not the crux of the experience at Global Poker, their casino games add a new layer of versatility to what’s already available.

Mobile

There is no downloadable Global Poker app for iOS/Android devices, but their mobile site is optimized for casino and poker enthusiasts. I enjoyed quick loading speeds, downsized games, and one-handed navigation with the comprehensive filters at the top of their mobile home page.

They’ve kept their interface looking and feeling similar for beginners, so you shouldn’t have any trouble transitioning between devices. While they could incorporate a bottom menu, I appreciate how they don’t add too many bells and whistles on mobile.

All their categories, settings, menus, and site-wide functions are in the same relative location. I was able to play poker in portrait or landscape mode, but their tables are easier to see when I’m holding my phone sideways.

Is the Customer Support Any Good?

I think that Global Poker’s existing customer service options can be improved. They don’t have live chat or phone support. If you want to speak with a real person, you’ll need to send them an email or submit a ticket. Alternatively, you can speak with other players on their Discord server.

While this isn’t a substitute for live chat support with trained agents, I found their Discord useful for getting quick replies on basic questions. Hundreds of members are active around-the-clock, and their server has 3,896 members with room to grow.

I emailed [email protected] with a question about their hourly GC freerolls, and I got a response from one of their agents 12 hours later. This is standard for email replies, but I waited for most of the week before receiving a follow-up response.

I had a question about their daily rewards later during the week, so I decided to submit a ticket. I scrolled to the website footer, clicked “Support Page,” and chose “Submit A Request.” I selected “Leave Feedback” from the menu, entered my email, typed my username, and sent a message.

I received a ticket reply three hours after clicking “Submit.” Their team sent follow-up replies in minutes rather than hours this time around, so I’m guessing they were busy the first time I tried to get in touch. If you’re waiting for a reply, I’d recommend checking for your answer in the FAQ.

I scrolled to the bottom of their website and clicked “Support Page” to view Global Poker’s Help Center. They cover a wide range of topics including gameplay, account safety, KYC verification, purchases, redemptions, promotions, and more.

As a quick recap, customer support is available at Global Poker using the following methods:

  • Direct email ([email protected])
  • Help Center/FAQ (click “Support Page”)
  • Ticket request (click “Support Page” and “Submit a Request”)
  • Discord server (link available in Help Center)

Is Global Poker Trustworthy?

Global Poker is a trustworthy sweepstakes casino and poker platform that’s owned by VGW GP Limited. They operate legally within 44 U.S. states and most parts of Canada excluding Quebec.

While they don’t need a gambling license to operate, they follow sweepstakes regulations to ensure fair play and security. All the casino games at Global Poker are RNG-tested for random outcomes. Similarly, they use a Mersenne Twister with background cycling for all poker games, which provides random and unpredictable outcomes.

Global Poker accepts numerous secure payment methods (including Trustly and Apple Pay) to guarantee safe GC purchases and completes KYC with all players before they can request prizes,

Who Owns Global Poker?

Global Poker is operated by VGW GP Limited. This company belongs to Virtual Gaming Worlds (VGW), the same iGaming provider that launched Chumba Casino back in 2017. Global Poker is the first platform that VGW brought online in 2016.

VGW is licensed under the jurisdiction of the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) with number MGA/B2C. Their registered address is located at Trident Park, Notabile Gardens, No6 – Level 3, Central Business District, Mdina Road, Zone 2 Birkirkara CBD2010 Malta.

VGW is one of the most well known sweepstakes operators in iGaming. They pioneered the rise of legal sweeps platforms in North America. Global Poker pre-dates Chumba Casino (2017) and Luckyland Slots (2019), but all three platforms are well established in the industry

What Do the Reviews Say?

Global Poker’s reviews are a mixed bag on TrustPilot. They have a 2.2 out of 5 star rating based on 1,005 testimonials, and they’re split almost evenly down the middle. 42% of players left a five star review, but a disappointing 40% of users left just one star. 18% of users gave two to four stars.

Satisfied players appreciate Global Poker’s reliably quick KYC reviews, fast redemptions, poker events, customer service options, and dedication to fair play. Less than satisfied users complain of not winning enough, accuse Global Poker of using bots, and claim that others cheat routinely.

While I was initially jarred by their 40% rate of one-star reviews, most negative feedback centers around accusations of rigged games or cheating, which I believe is a common resort for players who get unlucky. Still, I don’t want to overlook it entirely, and I’d like to see the rating improve and Global Poker take more ownership of these concerns.

Are There Any Responsible Gaming Resources?

Global Poker goes the extra mile to deliver self-serve responsible gaming resources. By default, you’re given Activity Reminders every hour. There’s no need to contact support (as is the case on some sites), as you can set limits independently. Open your profile and scroll until you see “Responsible Social Gameplay.”

I saw options to set daily, weekly, and monthly GC purchase limits with the click of a button. If you need a break from poker/casino gameplay, you can lock your account for a period of one day, three days, seven days, 14 days, or 30 days using their self-serve “Take A Break” limiter.

If you require a longer break from gameplay, self-exclusions last for a minimum of six months. It’s possible to extend the duration of any self-exclusion up to one year, three years, five years or indefinitely at your discretion. I appreciate their commitment to users’ safety and well-being.

Global Poker’s Responsible Social Gameplay policy explains how to use their limiters, battles common misconceptions about sweepstakes gaming, and has a detailed self-assessment for struggling players. They post links for Gaming Addicts Anonymous, the FCAA and the NFCC.

What’s the Difference Between Global Poker and a Real Money Casino?

Global Poker is a sweepstakes platform that doesn’t offer real money gambling. You can play poker and casino games using Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins, but you can’t play for real money. It’s possible to earn free coins through various promotions, giveaways, freerolls and tourneys.

While you can buy GC with real money, GC isn’t redeemable for prizes. On the other hand, it’s not possible to buy SC outright. It can only be given as a bonus. If you win SC through poker, you can redeem your SC for cash prizes.

Even though Global Poker pays real money prizes in the form of sweepstakes winnings, they’re not legally viewed as a gambling website. This allows Global Poker to operate legally in 44 U.S. states and most of Canada.

How We Rate Sweepstakes Casinos

Our experts rely on first-hand research to analyze sweepstakes casinos from the bottom-up. We register, play games, and test various features over the course of a week. We cover a platform’s biggest strengths and largest drawbacks while giving you our honest thoughts and commentary.

For every review, we dedicate at least two hours of research towards the following five areas:

  • Bonuses & Promotions: Starting with a casino’s no-deposit offer, we claim each bonus that’s available at a casino. We follow sites on social media to look for giveaways, check for VIP benefits, and play games to participate in tournaments. We document the steps we followed to claim each bonus and compare them to what’s on offer at other sites.
  • Games: Our experts play a wide range of slots and table games from reputable software providers at every casino we review. With specialist platforms like global Poker, we dive into everything on offer. We especially like to see platforms that host plenty of exclusives, live dealer games and progressive jackpots.
  • Payment Options: We buy coins, get KYC-verified, and redeem prizes at every casino we review. Our experts prioritize sites that accept multiple e-wallets, including Skrill and PayPal. We give a higher rating to casinos that boast redemptions starting from 10 SC, promise affordable GC purchase minimums, and offer first-time discounts for new users.
  • User Experience: Our team evaluates how a casino feels to use on desktop and mobile devices. We love to see casinos with a downloadable app for iOS/Android, but we focus on each casino’s usability regardless of the technology. We prioritize platforms with detailed search filters, immediate loading speeds, beginner-friendly instructions, and common-sense organization.
  • Customer Support: We get in touch with real support agents using any contact method we’re able to find on their website. Although we prefer sites that host 24/7 chat or phone support, we don’t stop there. Our experts draft emails, submit support tickets, and send messages on social media. We document reply speeds and account for their efficiency.

Why Trust SweepsChaser?

At SweepsChaser, we deliver honest and original opinions about every site we review. We assist our readers with the basics of sweepstakes gaming, help them to find the best fit for their needs, and arm them with everything they need to know before signing up.

Our team brings decades of experience to the table, so we have the real-world knowledge that’s necessary to spot red flags. We understand what to look for and what to avoid while analyzing a platform, and we’re committed to covering all of it.

Although we’re happy to praise casinos we like, we don’t shy away from publishing direct criticisms and suggesting improvements. We never endorse a casino that we wouldn’t use in our free time.

Would I Recommend Global Poker?

I’d recommend Global Poker for poker fans. Sweepstakes poker rooms are a small but growing niche, and Global Poker is still the platform to beat, in my opinion.

The range of poker formats and tables is extensive, on par with real money poker rooms in my experience. They promise wide-ranging buy-ins for GC/SC gamers across the board, ensuring that everyone gets a piece of the action.

Their Sit n’ Go games are ideal for grinders, and their Jackpot Sit n’ Go rooms up the ante with randomized multipliers. I had the most fun participating in Ring Games due to the pacing and room size, but that’s only because they align with my personal preferences.

I also enjoyed the addition of the small menu of casino games, which provide a change of pace from poker. It makes Global Poker a great one-stop-shop if you want access to both poker and slots.

Still, they’re not perfect – they need to improve their bonuses and customer service in my opinion.

I received 100,000 GC after signing up here, but they don’t give away free SC to new players. I also think their daily login bonus could be enhanced, especially for players that care enough to come back seven days in a row. Overall, they don’t provide enough ways to get free SC. Lastly, I’d love to see them host chat or phone-based support.

My complaints aside, Global Poker is one of the industry’s largest and oldest poker platforms. If you’re looking for time-tested poker entertainment, it’s hard to go wrong.
